If you collect on-ride photos the way some people collect pins, Hollywood Studios just gave you a reason to ride one more time this holiday season. Disney has released the new Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster holiday ride photos, and there are three different designs to choose from.
The photos are part of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay. They’ll be available from November 4 through January 6, the same window as the overlay itself. Every design carries a 2026 date, so whatever you bring home is a souvenir from the overlay’s very first season.
Here’s a look at all three designs, everything else that changes during the holiday overlay, and a few tips for getting the photo you actually want.
Quick Summary
- Disney revealed three holiday on-ride photo designs for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets
- The photos are available November 4 through January 6, matching the holiday overlay dates
- The designs are Christmas Tree Ornaments, Merry Mayhem, and The Electric Mayhem Line Art
- All three frames are dated 2026, making them a first-season keepsake
- The overlay also adds holiday music outside, a new pre-show story, and a holiday soundtrack on the ride
- The ride’s holiday set list features The Electric Mayhem with Kermit, Fozzie, Jennifer Hudson, and Cyndi Lauper

The Three Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Holiday Ride Photo Designs
Each design has its own look, so it’s worth knowing what you’re getting before you ride. Here’s the breakdown.
Christmas Tree Ornaments
This is the busiest of the three, and probably the most fun to study. Your photo sits inside a rainbow-striped frame with the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Starring The Muppets logos, set against a lit Christmas tree.
Ornaments hang all around the frame, including:
- A “Let’s Roll” license plate reading MUPP3T5, with DHS and 2026 tags
- A “Rockin’ Christmas” vinyl record from The Electric Mayhem
- A G-Force Records ornament
- A yellow road sign with a character silhouette, labeled “Obligatory Easter Egg”
That last one is peak Muppets humor. If you love hidden details, this is the design to look for.
Merry Mayhem
This one is a vertical design with a classic red and green color scheme and “Merry Mayhem” across the top. Below your photo, Animal and Kermit show up in Santa hats on either side of a “G-Force Records Presents The Electric Mayhem” panel.
The bottom reads “One Night to Rock the Halls,” with Disney’s Hollywood Studios 2026 running along the side. The vertical layout makes this one a strong pick if you plan to share it on your phone.
The Electric Mayhem Line Art
The third option is a horizontal design. Your photo sits next to a grid of red and green line art showing each member of The Electric Mayhem. It also includes holiday ornaments, a large 2026, and the same “One Night to Rock the Halls” tagline.
This is the cleanest of the three. If you want something that looks great framed on a shelf, start here.
Why the 2026 Date Matters
Every one of these frames is stamped with 2026. That’s a small detail, but it’s a big deal for collectors.
This is the first holiday season for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets. Disney may bring the overlay back next year, but the photo frames would almost certainly be updated with a new year, and possibly new artwork. So if you ride this season, your photo is a one-year keepsake from the overlay’s debut.
What Else Changes During the Holiday Overlay
The ride photos are just one piece of the seasonal update. Here’s what else you’ll find at the attraction from November 4 through January 6.
Holiday Music Outside
Festive music plays in the courtyard around the attraction’s famous guitar marquee. It’s a nice touch if you’re walking down Sunset Boulevard after dark.
A New Pre-Show Story
Inside G-Force Records, Dr. Teeth, Animal, Floyd, Janice, Zoot, and Lips are rehearsing for their holiday concert. A few Muppets friends stop by to help, and, as you’d expect from the Muppets, things don’t go to plan.
A Holiday Set List on the Ride
New holiday tracks play during your ride, including:
- Holiday Road – The Electric Mayhem featuring Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear
- Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) – The Electric Mayhem featuring Jennifer Hudson
- Silver Bells – The Electric Mayhem featuring Cyndi Lauper
You won’t hear every track on a single ride, so you may want to ride more than once to catch the full set.
Tips for Getting Your Holiday Ride Photo
A few things I’d keep in mind before you head to Sunset Boulevard:
- Link your photos to My Disney Experience. Ride photos show up in your PhotoPass account when they’re linked to your MagicBand, ticket, or app. If you have Memory Maker, they’re included.
- Ride early or late. Holiday season crowds at Hollywood Studios are heavy. Rope drop or the last hour before close usually means shorter waits.
- Plan for more than one ride. You don’t get to pick which frame you land in, and the set list changes from ride to ride. If you’re chasing a specific design or song, give yourself a second lap.
- Keep your eyes open. The photo is snapped mid-ride, in the dark, so a big expression reads better than a squint.
The Bottom Line
The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster holiday ride photos are a fun bonus for anyone visiting Hollywood Studios this season. You get three distinct designs, Christmas Tree Ornaments, Merry Mayhem, and The Electric Mayhem Line Art, all stamped with 2026 as a keepsake from the overlay’s first year.
Add in the holiday courtyard music, the new G-Force Records pre-show, and a set list with Jennifer Hudson and Cyndi Lauper, and this overlay is worth a spot on your holiday plan. Mark November 4 through January 6 on your calendar, link your photos, and ride more than once if you’re chasing a favorite frame.
