What’s Actually in the Parks
You don’t have to wait for a DisneyStore.com order.
Tower Hotel Gifts already carries a selection of Nightmare Before Christmas apparel and accessories, including items from this new release — confirmed so far: the Rubber Duck Set and the Sally Ear Headband.
Note the wording carefully. The shop stocks “a selection” including “a few items” from the new collection. That is not the full eight-piece lineup.
If a specific item is what you want, DisneyStore.com is the reliable route. Treat the in-park stock as a bonus rather than a plan.
Why Tower Hotel Gifts
The location choice is worth a moment, because it’s thematically odd and commercially obvious.
Tower Hotel Gifts is the exit shop for Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, themed to the Hollywood Tower Hotel — a 1930s Hollywood ghost story with no connection to Tim Burton or Halloween Town.
But it’s the closest thing Hollywood Studios has to a spooky retail location, and guests exiting the resort’s most famous horror-adjacent attraction are the most receptive possible audience for Nightmare merchandise.
Disney has leaned on this pairing for years. Tower Hotel Gifts routinely carries Haunted Mansion and Nightmare Before Christmas lines despite neither being connected to the attraction.
It works because the mood matches even when the IP doesn’t.
The Vampire Teddy Deep Cut
Vampire Teddy is the standout choice here, and it’s the item that signals whoever designed this collection actually knows the film.
He’s a background character — the small vampire teddy bear that appears among Halloween Town’s residents, most memorably in the “This Is Halloween” sequence. He has no lines and no plot function.
Building two of the eight pieces around him — the pullover sweater and the big-face canvas tote — rather than defaulting entirely to Jack is a real choice.
Jack Skellington merchandise is everywhere and always has been. He’s one of Disney’s most reliably merchandised characters, to the point of saturation. A Vampire Teddy big-face tote is something a fan doesn’t already own.
Oogie Boogie is the other smart inclusion, and he’s had a significant profile boost from Disney California Adventure’s Oogie Boogie Bash, which has become one of the strongest Halloween events on either coast.
Where This Sits in the Season
The timing tracks with the rest of Walt Disney World’s Halloween retail push.
Big Top Souvenirs reopened last week with a new circus treats menu. Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar’s Halloween overlay is up at Disney Springs, complete with a hand-built sign. The Hallmark Holiday Pop-Up Shop arrives at Disney Springs in early October.
Walt Disney World’s seasonal retail runs from late August straight through to early January, and this collection is an opening-week entry rather than a peak-season one.
Practical implication: stock will be better now than in October. Popular items in seasonal collections — particularly ear headbands and home decor — sell through and don’t always restock.
Buying Notes
If you want the Sally Ear Headband, move early. Ear headbands from character collections are consistently the fastest-moving items, and Sally headbands have historically been hard to find by mid-October.
Home decor is the safer wait. The Light-Up Decorative Pumpkin and Oogie Boogie Candle Holder are less impulse-driven and tend to stay in stock longer.
In-park pricing and DisneyStore.com pricing are typically identical, so there’s no advantage to either beyond availability and shipping.
The Bottom Line
The Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Collection is live on DisneyStore.com, covering apparel, accessories, and home decor built around Jack, Sally, and Oogie Boogie — plus two pieces featuring the deep-cut Vampire Teddy.
Select items including the Rubber Duck Set and Sally Ear Headband are already stocked at Tower Hotel Gifts at Twilight Zone Tower of Terror in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
