Hey Disney Vacationers! Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party returns to Disney California Adventure Park for 2025, bringing exclusive entertainment, treat trails, and plenty of spooky fun. The event runs on select nights from August 17 through October 31, 2025, and is one of Disneyland Resort’s most popular seasonal offerings.
At the time of publication, all dates are sold out except August 21 and August 28, which are priced at $154 per person plus tax. This event typically sells out quickly, so securing tickets early is essential.

Event Schedule and Early Entry
The party officially begins at 6:00 p.m. and continues until 11:00 p.m., offering five hours of Halloween-themed entertainment exclusive to Oogie Boogie Bash. Ticket holders can enter Disney California Adventure as early as 3:00 p.m., giving extra time to experience attractions, dine, or shop before the event begins.
Every guest receives a commemorative event guide and enjoys unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital downloads from the party. Photos remain available for download for up to 45 days after capture.
Costumes and Dress Code
Oogie Boogie Bash allows guests of all ages to wear costumes, provided they follow Disneyland’s official guidelines. Many attendees go all-out with elaborate villain-inspired looks, while others opt for themed shirts and comfortable attire. For those seeking a complete transformation, Tenaya Stone Spa at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa offers hair and makeup services inspired by Disney characters.
Cool evenings are common in late summer and fall, so bringing a sweater is recommended, along with comfortable shoes for the amount of walking the event requires.
Treat Trails and Character Encounters
The event features 12 treat trails where guests can collect candy from brands like M&M’S, SKITTLES, and SNICKERS. Allergy-friendly and no-sugar-added options are available upon request. Along the way, iconic Disney villains and rare characters appear for photos and interaction, making these trails as much about the encounters as the treats.
Frightfully Fun Parade
The Frightfully Fun Parade is performed twice nightly, at 7:45 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., featuring the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow, Jack Skellington, Haunted Mansion spirits, and more. For an enhanced viewing experience, the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party offers preferred parade seating along with themed desserts, beverages, and a collectible enamel pin. Reservations are strongly recommended for this add-on.
Villains Grove
At Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, Villains Grove transforms into a series of immersive scenes inspired by Disney villains. With lighting, music, and atmospheric effects, guests walk through spaces themed to characters such as Dr. Facilier, Frollo, and Scar.
Attractions with Shorter Wait Times
Many of Disney California Adventure’s rides remain open during the event, often with significantly shorter wait times. Highlights include:

- Toy Story Midway Mania! (featuring nods to the park’s 70th Celebration)

Special menu items are available during Oogie Boogie Bash, in addition to seasonal offerings that launch across the resort on August 22. Party-exclusive options include Loaded Buffalo Chicken Fries and Carolina Loaded Tenders at Flo’s V8 Cafe, Chili-Cheese Fries at Award Wieners, and Ube Hot Chocolate with Vanilla Vodka at Cozy Cone Motel.
A standout souvenir is the Mayor Sipper from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, available at multiple food locations and vending carts while supplies last.
