If you’re a fan of sit-down dining at Walt Disney World, here’s some news worth bookmarking for your 2027 trip planning. Disney is adding a brand-new Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan to its lineup starting in 2027, giving guests who love table-service restaurants a dedicated plan to match. Here’s everything you need to know about what’s changing, what each plan includes, and how the kids savings offer is shifting too.
What’s Changing: 2 Plans in 2026, 3 Plans in 2027
In 2026, Disney offers two dining plans as part of a Walt Disney Travel Company package: the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan and the Disney Dining Plan (table-service). Both remain available this year.
Starting in 2027, the lineup expands to three options:
- Quick-Service Dining Plan — 2 quick-service meals + 1 snack per night of stay
- Table-Service Dining Plan — 1 table-service meal + 1 quick-service meal + 1 snack per night of stay
- Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan (NEW) — 2 table-service meals + 1 quick-service meal + 1 snack per night of stay
The new Deluxe plan is designed for guests who want to do a sit-down meal at breakfast, lunch, or dinner twice every day — the kind of trip where you’re hitting character meals, signature restaurants, and dinner shows throughout your stay.
What’s Included in Each Plan
All three plans include a Resort-Refillable Drink Mug and access to Pizza Pick Up.
The Table-Service and Deluxe Table-Service plans go further and also include access to:
- Private In-Room Dining at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Character Dining
- Dinner Shows
- Fine/Signature Dining
- Dining Events
Note that some fine/signature dining and select Character dining experiences will deduct 2 table-service meal credits per person — so plan ahead when booking, Cinderella’s Royal Table, and similar premium experiences.
How the Dining Plans Work
A few key rules to keep in mind before booking:
- Every guest aged 3 and over on the same room booking receives the same plan — you can’t mix and match.
- Meals and snacks are calculated based on the number of nights in your package stay, not the number of days.
- Unused meals and snacks roll over day to day but expire at midnight on checkout day.
- Meals and snacks are non-transferable between party members.
- Guests aged 3 to 9 must order from a children’s menu where available.
- Gratuities are not included.
- Advance dining reservations are strongly recommended — and may be required — at table-service restaurants.
- Beverages are included with each meal. Guests 21+ with valid ID can substitute beer, wine, or cocktails.
Kids Savings: How It Changes in 2027
The kids dining savings offer is also shifting between 2026 and 2027, and this is worth paying attention to if you’re traveling with young children:
- In 2026: Kids ages 3–9 receive a free dining plan when you purchase a package that includes a Disney Resort room and a dining plan for every guest aged 10 and over. Availability is limited.
- In 2027: Kids ages 3–9 receive up to 20% off dining when you include a dining plan in your package. Actual savings vary based on menu items ordered.
If you’re planning a family trip and the free kids dining offer is a major factor for you, 2026 may be the better year to book — that free plan for young kids is a significant value that’s changing in 2027.
How to Book a Dining Plan
Dining plans must be added as part of a Walt Disney Travel Company package that includes a Disney Resort hotel stay. The plan must cover the full length of your stay and the entire party aged 3 and over. You can track remaining meals and snacks on your receipts or through the My Disney Experience app during your stay.
The new Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan is a solid option for guests who prioritize dining experiences over quick bites — especially if you’re planning to hit multiple signature restaurants or character meals. For most families, the standard Table-Service plan will still offer great value. The key is matching the plan to how you actually eat on vacation.
