Cocktails in Liberty Square. That’s the headline. The Diamond Horseshoe reopens October 4, and Disney has shared the full menu — small plates, new non-alcoholic drinks, and a proper cocktail list.
Reservations open September 29. Walk-ups are still welcome.
Quick Summary
- Reopens October 4 as a limited-time pop-up
- Reservations open September 29
- Walk-ups accepted
- Six shareable small plates
- Four new non-alcoholic specialty beverages
- Five cocktails plus a seasonal one
- Wine and three draft beers
Why Alcohol in Liberty Square Matters
Magic Kingdom was dry for its first 41 years.
Alcohol didn’t arrive until Be Our Guest Restaurant began serving beer and wine in 2012, and it stayed confined to table-service restaurants for years after that. The Beak and Barrel, the pirate bar in Adventureland, was the first genuine bar in the park.
A saloon in Liberty Square serving a five-cocktail list is a meaningful expansion of that, and it fits the theming better than most — the Diamond Horseshoe has always been styled as a frontier saloon. It’s arguably the most obvious place in Magic Kingdom to serve a drink, and it took until 2026.
Small Plates
- Charcuterie — cured beef, candied bacon, smoked pork, green chile cheese, smoked cheddar, and pickles
- Glazed Sticky Ribs — cowboy beans and jalapeño crisps
- Queso Fundido with Barbecue Burnt Ends — served with warm tortilla chips
- Sweet Golden Corn Fritters — cilantro ranch dressing and red chili honey
- Chipotle Chicken Tostada — queso fresco, lime crema, and pickled cactus salsa
- Mini Hot Dog Platter — wrapped in pastry, served with tortilla chips and a side of queso
The Menu Is More Southwestern Than Colonial
Worth noticing, because it’s a theming choice with a reason behind it. Liberty Square is colonial America — the Hall of Presidents, the Haunted Mansion’s Hudson River Valley manor, the Liberty Tree. This menu is queso fundido, tostadas, cactus salsa, and cowboy beans.
That’s frontier and Southwestern, not colonial.
The Diamond Horseshoe has always been the anomaly there. It’s a Western saloon sitting on the Liberty Square side of the boundary with Frontierland, and its exterior faces both. The menu leans into the Frontierland half of that identity.
With Frontierland losing Tiana’s Bayou Adventure from November 2 and the railroad already skipping the land, having a new dining draw on that side of the park is useful timing.
Non-Alcoholic Specialty Beverages
- Orange Cream Soda — Fanta Orange with vanilla and cream
- Caramel Root Beer with Sweet Cream — Barq’s Root Beer with caramel, topped with sweet cream
- Enchanting Ember Lemonade — Minute Maid Premium Lemonade, strawberry, and hot honey
- Enchanted Grove Lime Splash — Minute Maid Limeade, cucumber, and mint
Four dedicated non-alcoholic specialty drinks is a genuinely good ratio against five cocktails. These aren’t afterthought sodas — the hot honey lemonade and the cucumber-mint limeade are properly constructed drinks.
That matters at Magic Kingdom specifically, where a large share of guests are children or non-drinkers and the “mocktail” is often an afterthought.
Cocktails
- Whinnyin’ Whiskey Lemonade — Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, Aperol, strawberry purée, Minute Maid Premium Lemonade, and basil
- Cactus Rose Margarita — LALO Blanco Tequila, prickly pear, lime, and agave
- High Plains Huckleberry — 44° North Mountain Huckleberry Vodka, crème de cassis, lemon juice, and cranberry
- Rattler Rum Punch — Bacardí Superior Rum, orange, pineapple, lime, and passion fruit, with a sweet-and-spicy rim
- Coal’d Fashioned — Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Mr. Black Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur, cinnamon syrup, orange bitters, and Angostura bitters
Seasonal:
- In Holiday Fashion — Buffalo Trace Bourbon, rosemary syrup, cranberry, and cinnamon
The Two Worth Ordering
The Coal’d Fashioned is the most interesting drink on the list. A bourbon Old Fashioned with cold brew coffee liqueur and cinnamon is a real cocktail rather than a themed sugar delivery system, and Mr. Black is a genuine specialty product rather than a well pour.
The High Plains Huckleberry uses 44° North Mountain Huckleberry Vodka, which is an Idaho distillery product and an unusually specific choice. Huckleberry is a Mountain West signature and not something you find on many bar menus.
Disney hasn’t published prices, which is the one gap in an otherwise complete menu release. Expect Magic Kingdom cocktail pricing — likely $16–$18.
Wine and Beer
Wine:
- Sparkling — Nino Franco Rustico Prosecco
- White — Fess Parker Riesling
- Red — MacMurray Estate Pinot Noir
Draft beer:
- Samuel Adams Boston Lager
- Yuengling Traditional Lager
- Cigar City Jai Alai IPA
Cigar City Jai Alai is the local pick — it’s brewed in Tampa and is Florida’s best-known craft IPA. Good to see it on a Magic Kingdom draft list.
Booking
Reservations open September 29, ahead of the October 4 opening.
Walk-ups will still be accepted for guests who want to stop by without a reservation.
Book on September 29 if you want a specific time. A limited-time pop-up with a novel offering in a park where bar seating is scarce will move quickly — and the walk-up option will be the harder route on weekends and party nights.
Note it’s described as a limited-time pop-up, so this isn’t necessarily permanent. No end date has been given.
The Bottom Line
The Diamond Horseshoe reopens October 4 as a limited-time pop-up serving six shareable small plates, four non-alcoholic specialty drinks, five cocktails plus a seasonal option, three wines, and three draft beers.
The menu leans Southwestern rather than colonial, which suits the saloon better than Liberty Square’s usual theming. Reservations open September 29, walk-ups are welcome, and Disney hasn’t published prices yet.
