Collectors, take note. A new Pirate Parrot Mug is coming to The Beak & Barrel at Magic Kingdom, and Disney Eats shared the first look on Instagram.
It is a ceramic parrot in a pirate hat, and it comes with a drink. What it does not come with yet is a price or a release date.
Here is what has been shown, what Disney has pointedly not said, and what a comparable mug at the same bar suggests about the cost.
Quick Summary
- The Pirate Parrot Mug is a ceramic parrot wearing a pirate hat
- It has a skull and crossbones on the hat and an anchor on the parrot’s belly
- The carved texture gives it a wood look
- It is served with Mariner’s Fortune, a vodka punch
- No release date and no price have been announced
- A comparable mug drink at the same bar costs $46
What the Mug Looks Like
The design is a ceramic parrot in a pirate hat, with a skull and crossbones on the hat and an anchor on the parrot’s belly.
The detail that lifts it above a generic souvenir cup is the finish: the carved texture gives it a wood look, which fits The Beak & Barrel’s whole aesthetic rather than sitting on top of it.
For anyone collecting Disney souvenir mugs, this is a more characterful piece than most. It is a sculpted figure rather than a printed vessel.
The Drink: Mariner’s Fortune
The mug is served with a drink called Mariner’s Fortune. Disney describes it as a punch made with:
- Tito’s Handmade Vodka
- Guava
- DOLE Pineapple Juice
- Ginger
- Lime
Guava and pineapple with a ginger kick is a sensible build for a tropical punch — the ginger and lime keep it from being purely sweet, which is the failure mode of most theme park punches.
What Disney Has Not Said
This is the honest part, and it is most of the story.
Disney has not shared a release date or a price. It also has not said whether you can buy the mug without the drink, or whether it will be a limited run.
The only commitment is “coming soon.”
That leaves three open questions that actually determine whether this matters to you:
Can you buy it separately? If the mug is drink-only, non-drinkers and anyone bringing kids are out.
Is it limited? A limited run changes the urgency completely. An ongoing item can wait for your next trip.
What does it cost? Which brings us to the useful comparison.
What It Might Cost
There is a direct precedent at the same bar.
Plunderer’s Punch costs $46. That drink is made with The Kraken Black Spiced Rum, blackberry, lime, and vanilla, and it is served in a Souvenir Pirate Skull Mug.
Same venue, same format — a specialty cocktail served in a collectible ceramic mug. That makes $46 the most reasonable anchor for what the Pirate Parrot Mug will run.
To be clear, Disney has not confirmed any price. But if you are budgeting, plan around that figure rather than hoping for something in the $20s. Souvenir mug drinks at Walt Disney World have settled into that upper bracket and have not moved back down.
Is It Worth $46
Assuming the pricing holds, here is how to think about it.
Worth it if you collect Disney mugs and this design appeals to you. You are paying roughly $30 to $35 for a sculpted ceramic collectible plus a cocktail, which is in line with what comparable souvenirs cost without a drink attached.
Not worth it if you just want the cocktail. $46 for a vodka punch is steep, and The Beak & Barrel has other drinks that don’t carry the cost of a ceramic parrot. Sometimes, you can order the drink without the mug. Make sure to ask your server if it’s an option.
Wait if you are unsure. Nothing is on sale yet, and the open questions about separate purchase and limited availability will be answered before you need to decide.
Where to Find It
The Beak & Barrel is at Magic Kingdom. If you have not been since it opened, it is worth knowing the venue has distinct spaces inside — The Mess and The Brig — and the atmosphere is a real step up from a standard park bar.
It is also one of the four Magic Kingdom restaurants taking reservations during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year, so it is getting attention from more than one direction this season.
The Bottom Line
The Pirate Parrot Mug is coming to The Beak & Barrel with Mariner’s Fortune, a vodka punch with guava, pineapple, ginger, and lime. The mug is ceramic, parrot-shaped, pirate-hatted, and finished to look like carved wood.
No date. No price. No word on whether you can buy it on its own or whether it is limited.
Budget around $46 based on Plunderer’s Punch at the same bar, and watch for an announcement. We will update you when Disney confirms the details.
