Disney has confirmed the opening date and revealed the full set list — and it’s a stacked lineup featuring some serious rock and pop collaborations alongside Kermit, Fozzie, and the rest of the gang.

The Electric Mayhem Band is taking center stage, and they brought some very special guests along for the ride. Here’s the full set list:
- “Song 2” — The Electric Mayhem
- “Born to Be Wild” — The Electric Mayhem featuring Camilla the Chicken
- “Love Rollercoaster” — The Electric Mayhem featuring Jennifer Hudson & Questlove
- “Rock! Rock! (‘Til You Drop)” — The Electric Mayhem featuring Def Leppard
- “Walking on Sunshine” — The Electric Mayhem featuring Kelly Clarkson
The mix of classic rock (“Born to Be Wild,” “Love Rollercoaster”), Def Leppard’s hard rock energy, and Kelly Clarkson’s feel-good pop anthem makes for a surprisingly eclectic and fun playlist. The nod to Camilla the Chicken as a featured “artist” alongside The Electric Mayhem is peak Muppets chaos, and we are here for it.
What to Expect on Opening Day
May 26th is Memorial Day weekend, which is already one of the busiest times of year at Walt Disney World. Adding a major new attraction opening to the mix means Hollywood Studios is going to be absolutely packed. TouringPlans is projecting wait times at a crowd level 9, with peak actual waits — not the posted sign times, but the real time you’ll spend in queue — reaching close to 100 minutes on opening day.
If you’re planning to be there for opening day, here are a few tips to help manage the crowd:
- Use Early Theme Park Entry if you’re staying at a Disney Resort hotel — get in 30 minutes early and head straight to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster before the crowds build.
- Check the My Disney Experience app for any virtual queue or Lightning Lane options that may be in place at opening.
- If you can’t get on it opening week, don’t sweat it — wait times will settle into a more manageable range within the first few weeks.
A Long Time Coming
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has been closed for the Muppets re-theme for a while now, and the wait is almost over. The combination of a beloved Muppets IP, The Electric Mayhem as the ride’s musical backbone, and a genuinely fun set list bodes well for this being a crowd-pleaser for both Muppets superfans and first-timers alike.
