Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets Annual Passholder Previews

Annual Passholders, your early access to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets passholder previews is officially happening — and Disney just dropped all the details you need to snag a boarding group. The reimagined attraction opens to all guests on May 26, 2026, but Passholders get three exclusive days to ride first: May 21, 22, and 23 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

This isn’t just a soft opening situation. Disney is running a structured virtual queue system with three daily distribution windows, each with different requirements. If you’re an Annual Passholder and you’re not planning around this, you’re leaving a big perk on the table.

Here’s everything you need to know about how the virtual queue works, when to join, what you’ll experience inside the new ride, and the complimentary photo bonus you don’t want to miss.

How the Virtual Queue Works for Annual Passholder Previews

Disney is using a virtual queue system exclusively during the May 21–23 preview period. There are three distribution times each day, and the requirements for each window are different. Here’s exactly how it breaks down:

7:00 AM Distribution

This early morning slot is available to Passholders who have a Disney’s Hollywood Studios park reservation for that specific day. The key perk here: you do not need to be inside a theme park to join the queue at 7:00 am. You can grab your boarding group from home, your hotel, or wherever you are — as long as your park reservation is for Hollywood Studios that day.

11:00 AM Distribution

The midday window is available to Passholders who have a park reservation for any theme park that day — not just Hollywood Studios. However, there’s a catch: you must physically enter your reserved park before you head to Hollywood Studios. So if you’ve got an EPCOT reservation, check in at EPCOT first, then make your way over.

3:00 PM Distribution

This is the most flexible window. Any Annual Passholder with valid admission can join the 3:00 pm distribution — no park reservation required at all. This is the best option if you didn’t plan ahead with a reservation but still want a shot at riding before the public opening.

Free Attraction Photos During the Preview Period

Here’s a bonus that makes the preview period even more appealing. Passholders who ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets during the May 21–23 window will receive complimentary downloads of their attraction photos.

Disney PhotoPass will capture your ride, and the photos will be available as free downloads — but only during the preview dates. Once the attraction officially opens on May 26, attraction photos will require a purchase or a Memory Maker package as usual.

If you’ve ever wanted a ride photo without paying extra, this is your window. Ride during previews, get your photo for free. It’s a genuinely great perk for Passholders who plan ahead.

What You’ll Experience Inside Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets

The attraction has been fully reimagined with The Muppets at the center of everything. Here’s what’s waiting for you inside.

The New Track List

The Electric Mayhem is running the show, and the new soundtrack is packed with incredible collaborations. You’ll hear “Song 2,” “Born To Be Wild” featuring Camilla the Chicken, “Love Rollercoaster” featuring Jennifer Hudson and Questlove, “Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop)” featuring Def Leppard, and “Walking on Sunshine” featuring Kelly Clarkson. Each song plays through 120 speakers per limo synchronized perfectly to the ride.

What’s New in the Experience

The reimagined ride introduces the first-ever Audio-Animatronics figure of Scooter, who appears in the preshow. G-Force Records is now under full Muppet management with penguin audio engineers running the boards. The preshow features “Can You Picture That?” in a rehearsal setting, and there’s a post-show concert element that continues the fun after you exit.

Look out for the psychedelic Stratocaster guitar — it’s one of the visual showpieces of the reimagined queue and ride area, featuring pink, blue, purple, and rainbow colors. Celebrity cameos from Travis Barker, John Stamos, Neil Patrick Harris, Wayne Brady, and “Weird Al” Yankovic are also woven into the experience.

Same Thrills, New Soundtrack

The ride mechanics haven’t changed. You’re still hitting 0 to 57 mph in 2.8 seconds on the launch, still flying through two roll-over loops and one corkscrew. The thrill level is identical — it’s just The Muppets who are along for the ride now instead of Aerosmith.

How to Join the Virtual Queue

The process is straightforward. Make a Hollywood Studios park reservation if you’re targeting the 7:00 am or want maximum flexibility. Open the My Disney Experience app at your chosen distribution time. Request to join the virtual queue, then wait for your boarding group to be called. When your group is ready, head over to the attraction.

You do not need to be inside a theme park for any of the three distribution times — that’s the part that catches people off guard. But remember the 11:00 am window requires you to have entered your reserved park before heading to Hollywood Studios.

Final Thoughts: Don’t Sleep on the Passholder Previews

The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets passholder previews are a genuine perk — early access to one of Hollywood Studios’ signature thrill rides plus free attraction photos. You’ve got three days and three daily chances to get in. Whether you snag the 7:00 am slot with a park reservation or take advantage of the open 3:00 pm window, the goal is the same: ride before the crowds show up on May 26.

Open your My Disney Experience app, check your Passholder status, and plan which distribution window works best for your schedule. This one’s worth the effort.
