What Is the Glimmering Greenhouses Tour?

Walt Disney World is adding a little more sparkle to EPCOT this holiday season with the Behind the Seeds Glimmering Greenhouses tour. This is an after-dark, hour-long walking tour where you get to explore Living with the Land all decked out for the holidays. It’s like riding the Living with the Land, but with a lot more time to take the holiday vibes—thanks to stunning light displays and a focus on how Disney uses sustainable techniques to keep those greenhouses glowing.

Key Dates
The Glimmering Greenhouses tour runs from November 29 to December 30, 2024, giving you an entire month of holiday joy. Mark your calendars, because tickets go on sale September 30.

What to Expect on the Tour

This isn’t your typical EPCOT experience. Here’s what you’re in for:

• Festive Foliage: You’ll learn all about the crops used in our favorite holiday dishes. If you’ve ever wondered where that pumpkin spice comes from or how holiday veggies make it to your table, now’s your chance to find out.
• Dazzling Lights: The greenhouses will be lit up with spectacular holiday lights, making this one of the most visually impressive experiences at EPCOT this season.
• Sustainable Growing Techniques: Ever heard of hydroponics? Disney’s using cutting-edge, sustainable methods to grow the crops inside these greenhouses, and you’ll get an inside look at how it’s done.

Tour Times & Availability

This tour is offered twice daily at 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM. The evening times give you a perfect opportunity to see EPCOT in its festive nighttime glory. While the standard Behind the Seeds tours are still available during the day, this special edition brings an after-dark holiday magic that’s completely unique.

Booking Your Spot

If you’re thinking of waiting to book your spot, don’t. Reservations are highly recommended. You can make reservations online or via the My Disney Experience app starting September 30, 2024. There may be some last-minute openings for same-day reservations or walk-ins, but those are subject to availability, so plan ahead!

Important Details to Know

Before you dive into this holiday magic, here are a few things you’ll need to know:

• Theme Park Admission: You’ll need valid admission to EPCOT to attend the tour, and depending on your ticket, a theme park reservation may also be required.
• Comfort is Key: This is a walking tour, and you’ll be on your feet the whole time. Bring your most comfortable pair of shoes—your feet will thank you!
• Cancellation Policy: There’s a 24-hour cancellation policy, so if you cancel within one day or don’t show up, you’ll be charged the full price.
• Age Requirements: Kids as young as 3 can join in on the fun, but anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
• Check-in: Be sure to check in 15 minutes prior to your tour at the lower level of The Land Pavilion near the attraction exit.

Could not have wanted or expected more from Nate, our Distrips and More agent as we planned our 2025 Disney World trip. Nate was VERY responsive to emails and texts and more than willing to do whatever he could to guide us and answer our questions.
