Muppets Annual Passholder Perks Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Reading Time: 4 minutes
Kermit the Frog Annual Passholder magnet

It was Kermit after all. Disney confirmed the next Annual Passholder magnet, and the pond scene teaser pointed exactly where Muppets fans thought it did.

From August 11 through September 24, 2026, Passholders get a full lineup of Muppets-themed perks at Disney’s Hollywood Studios — a new magnet, a Passholder-exclusive PhotoPass Magic Shot, and a limited-time milkshake.

Here’s the Muppets Annual Passholder perks lineup and exactly what you need to claim each one.

Quick Summary

  • The next Annual Passholder magnet is Kermit the Frog
  • Perks run August 11 through September 24, 2026 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
  • Pick up the magnet at Mickey Shorts Theater, park open to park close
  • A Passholder-exclusive Kermit Magic Shot runs daily 10am to 4pm near Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
  • The Key Lime Kermit Milk Shake is available at Dockside Diner
  • Valid Annual Pass and government-issued photo ID required for all three

The Teaser Was Muppets, Not Princess and the Frog

Worth closing the loop on this. Disney’s earlier teaser showed a green pond scene with water lilies, cattails, lily pads including a hidden Mickey, and toadstool mushrooms, with the line that the character is “used to being in the spotlight.”

Fan speculation split between The Muppets and “The Princess and the Frog.”

It’s Kermit. The toadstools and the spotlight reference both pointed that way, and the swamp imagery lines up directly with the opening of “The Muppet Movie.”

Kermit the Frog Annual Passholder Magnet

Pick up the Kermit magnet at Mickey Shorts Theater. It’s available from park open to park close while supplies last.

Each Passholder gets one magnet and must show:

  • A valid Annual Pass, linked MagicBand, MagicBand+, or Disney MagicMobile pass
  • A government-issued photo ID

Go Early in the Window

“While supplies last” is the operative phrase. Passholder magnets have a track record of disappearing faster than Disney’s supply estimates suggest, and a Kermit magnet arriving during the Muppets moment at Hollywood Studios will move quickly.

The park also has Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets now, which means Muppets merchandise demand at this park is elevated generally.

Go in the first week if you can. August 11 through the following weekend is your safest window.

Passholder-Exclusive PhotoPass Magic Shot

Grab a banjo and pose with Kermit in a Passholder-exclusive Magic Shot.

Location: near the end of Hollywood Boulevard, close to Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway

Hours: daily from 10am to 4pm

The banjo detail is a nice touch — it references “Rainbow Connection,” which opens The Muppet Movie with Kermit playing banjo in the swamp. That ties the Magic Shot back to the same imagery as the teaser artwork.

The Validation Catch

Read this carefully, because it’s different from the magnet requirements.

To get the shot, show your Annual Pass ID in the “Tickets and Passes” section of My Disney Experience, plus a photo ID.

PhotoPass photographers cannot validate with your Annual Pass card, MagicBand, MagicBand+, or MagicMobile at this location. You need the app.

That’s an unusual restriction and it will trip people up. Screenshot your Pass ID before you get in line, because cell service on Hollywood Boulevard at midday is unreliable.

Key Lime Kermit Milkshake at Dockside Diner

Key Lime Kermit Milk Shake

Head to Dockside Diner for the Key Lime Kermit Milk Shake — vanilla ice cream with key lime cake crumbs, key lime sauce, and sprinkles.

Available during regular operating hours through September 24. Show your Annual Pass ID and photo ID at purchase.

Key lime for a green frog is the obvious flavor choice, and it’s the right one. Key lime is genuinely refreshing in August Florida heat in a way that a chocolate or vanilla novelty shake wouldn’t be.

Dockside Diner sits on Echo Lake, which also gives you a shaded place to drink it.

Park Admission Notes for Passholders

To enter Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll need valid admission and may need a Theme Park reservation, depending on your visit date.

Annual Passholders can visit without a reservation on a “good-to-go” day or after 2pm — except Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom.

Reservations are limited and subject to availability. Pass blockout dates apply.

Planning the Whole Thing in One Trip

All three perks are at Hollywood Studios, and they’re geographically close:

  • Mickey Shorts Theater — Echo Lake area, for the magnet
  • Near Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway — end of Hollywood Boulevard, for the Magic Shot
  • Dockside Diner — Echo Lake, for the milkshake

That’s a compact loop. The Magic Shot’s 10am-to-4pm window is your binding constraint, so plan the visit around that rather than the magnet or the shake.

An after-2pm Passholder entry works if you move directly to the Magic Shot location, leaving two hours before it closes.

The Bottom Line

Muppets Annual Passholder perks run August 11 through September 24, 2026 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, with a Kermit the Frog magnet at Mickey Shorts Theater, a banjo Magic Shot near Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway from 10am to 4pm, and a Key Lime Kermit Milk Shake at Dockside Diner.

Bring your Annual Pass and a government photo ID, and have the My Disney Experience app open for the Magic Shot specifically — a physical pass card won’t work there.

Go early in the window for the magnet.
