Skipping baggage claim after a flight to Orlando is a small thing that feels enormous on arrival day. Disney’s Airport Luggage Transfer service now covers JetBlue, adding a fourth airline to a program that’s been quietly expanding all year.
This follows the September 2026 expansion to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, the first Moderate Resort to join.
Here’s how the service works in both directions, which resorts qualify, and the details that decide whether it’s worth using on your trip.
Quick Summary
- New: JetBlue joins the program
- Participating airlines: American Airlines, JetBlue, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines
- Run by: BagCheck
- What it does: Sends your bags between Orlando International Airport and your resort
- Resorts: Six, including all three All-Star resorts, Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, and Pop Century
- Domestic flights only
- Status: A pilot program, subject to change
Which Resorts Participate
Airport Luggage Transfer at Disney is available at:
- Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Disney’s Pop Century Resort
Notice the pattern: these are Value resorts plus one Moderate. That’s a deliberate choice. These resorts house the largest number of guests per property and generate the heaviest luggage volume through the lobby, which is exactly where a service like this saves the most time.
How It Works When You Arrive
Register between 30 days and 24 hours before your flight. You’ll need your resort confirmation number and your flight confirmation number to sign up, and you’ll get a confirmation email once registered.
Register more than 7 days out and you’ll get luggage tags in the mail. Register closer to your trip and you won’t get tags, but your bags still get delivered, and you can track them through the link in your confirmation email.
From there:
- Check in for your flight online and pay any bag fees
- Drop your bags at the airport following your airline’s normal process
- Land at Orlando International Airport and head straight to your resort, with no baggage claim stop
Give it up to 4 hours from your flight’s arrival for bags to reach the resort. Pick them up at Luggage Assistance or Bell Services in the lobby, or call from your in-room phone to have them brought up. Gratuities aren’t included.
What That Actually Saves You
Orlando International’s baggage claim after a full flight can eat 30 to 45 minutes, and that’s before you haul everything onto Disney transportation or into a rideshare. Walking off the plane and going straight to your resort is the difference between reaching the parks that afternoon or writing the day off.
The tradeoff: you won’t have your bags for up to four hours. Pack accordingly.
How It Works When You Leave
Check in for your flight online starting 24 hours before departure and pay any bag fees through your airline’s app or website.
Drop your luggage at Luggage Assistance or Bell Services between 24 hours and 4 hours before your flight. You can bring the bags yourself or call from your room for pickup.
Bring a government-issued photo ID and your boarding pass to the lobby when you drop off your bags. Then head to the airport, skip the check-in line, and collect your luggage at baggage claim once you land.
Departure day is where this service shines most. Checking bags at your resort in the morning means a park day with no luggage hanging over it, and no check-in counter at MCO, which is one of the busiest departure halls in the country.
A Few Things to Know
- The service only covers domestic flights
- If you’d rather keep a stroller or car seat with you, check it at the gate and tell the agent you want it back at the gate on arrival
- Keep medications, electronics, perishables, and important documents in your carry-on
- If your flight lands after 11pm, you can either grab your bags at baggage claim yourself or wait for BagCheck to deliver them to the resort within 4 hours
- This is a pilot program, subject to change or cancellation without notice
Disney says more airlines could be added later.
Should You Use It?
Yes, if: you’re staying at one of the six participating resorts, flying one of the four participating airlines domestically, and you want your arrival and departure days to feel like park days instead of travel days.
Probably not, if: you’re arriving late at night, you need something in your checked bag right away, or you’re the kind of traveler who gets anxious when luggage is out of sight. Four hours is fine in theory and stressful in practice if your swimsuit is in that bag.
Packing Tips If You Use It
- Put swimwear, a park outfit, and toiletries in your carry-on
- Keep phone chargers and any park essentials with you
- If you’re arriving on a park day, plan your first few hours around not having your bags
- Confirm your registration email actually arrived. No email, no service
Why This Program Keeps Growing
Disney ended its previous airport bag service years ago, and guests noticed. Bringing a version back through BagCheck, one airline and one resort at a time, lets Disney test capacity without committing property-wide. Many Disney visits, including myself, are hoping Disney continues to expand this program to include more resorts and more airlines.
JetBlue’s addition matters because of who flies it: a large share of Northeast travelers heading to Orlando. That’s a meaningful chunk of Walt Disney World’s guest base, and adding it suggests the pilot is working.
The Bottom Line
Airport Luggage Transfer at Disney now includes JetBlue alongside American, Southwest, and United, covering six resorts and handling bags in both directions between Orlando International and your hotel.
Register between 30 days and 24 hours before your flight, pack your first few hours in a carry-on, and enjoy walking past baggage claim. Just remember it’s a pilot program, so confirm it’s still running before you count on it.
