Grand Floridian Café Reopens November 2 — All Three Meals Now Bookable

Grand Floridian Café Reopens November 2

Grand Floridian Café comes back on November 2, 2026 — and all three meal periods are now bookable on My Disney Experience.

Breakfast and lunch reservations just went live, joining the dinner availability that showed up earlier. The restaurant has been closed since July for a refurbishment, which puts the closure at roughly four months.

Quick Summary

  • Grand Floridian Café reopens Monday, November 2, 2026
  • Reservations for all three meal periods are open now on My Disney Experience
  • Breakfast: 7:30 am to 11 am
  • Lunch: 11:30 am to 2 pm
  • Dinner: 5 pm to 9 pm
  • Breakfast and lunch were just added — dinner opened earlier
  • The restaurant has been closed since July for refurbishment
  • Brunch has been running at Cítricos during the closure

Book It Now, Not Later

The practical takeaway is simple: the booking window for November 2 is already open, and this is a restaurant that fills.

Grand Floridian Café is the Grand Floridian’s casual table-service option — the everyday restaurant in a resort otherwise known for Victoria & Albert’s, Narcoossee’s, and Cítricos. That makes it the one place at the resort where you can get a sit-down meal without planning your whole evening around it.

It also happens to be one of the handful of table-service breakfasts on the monorail loop, which is why the 7:30 am and 8 am slots are the hardest to get. If you are staying anywhere on the monorail and want a real breakfast before rope drop at Magic Kingdom, this is the short list.

Breakfast opening at 7:30 am matters for exactly that reason. A 7:30 table gets you fed and on the monorail with time to spare.

What the Hours Tell You

Three things worth noticing in the posted schedule:

Breakfast runs to 11 am. That is a long breakfast service, and it means you can sleep in and still get it. Plenty of Disney table-service breakfasts cut off at 10 or 10:30.

There is a 30-minute gap between breakfast and lunch, and a three-hour gap between lunch and dinner. The restaurant is not running continuous service, so a 3 pm arrival gets you nothing.

Dinner ends at 9 pm. If you are planning around Magic Kingdom fireworks, check the show time against that cutoff — a late show and a 9 pm last seating do not combine well.

About That Four-Month Closure

The restaurant closed in July and returns November 2. That is a substantial refurbishment window for a single restaurant — long enough to suggest more than a soft refresh, though Disney has not detailed the scope.

Here is what has not been announced, and it is the interesting gap:

  • No menu details. Whether the food changes, and how much, is unknown.
  • No word on the dining room itself. Four months of work usually means something visible, but Disney has not shared renderings, photos, or a description.
  • No confirmation of what prompted the work beyond “refurbishment.”

For a reopening a few weeks out with reservations already live, that is a thin amount of information. You are booking a table at a restaurant nobody has described yet.

That is not a reason to wait — if you want a November 2 breakfast, the tables are going now and the details will surface before you travel. But it is worth knowing you are booking on faith.

Cítricos Brunch Is the Thing to Watch

During the closure, brunch has been running at Cítricos. That is the detail with an open question attached.

Cítricos is a signature restaurant. Putting brunch there was a workaround while the Café was dark — and nobody has said whether it continues after November 2.

If Cítricos brunch has been working well, Disney may keep it. If it was purely a stopgap, it goes away when the Café reopens. Either answer changes the Grand Floridian dining picture, and if you have a Cítricos brunch reservation past November 2, that is worth confirming rather than assuming.

Practical Notes

  • Reservations are through My Disney Experience, online or in the app
  • Disney’s advance dining window opens 60 days out, so November and early December dates are bookable now
  • Grand Floridian is on the monorail loop, so it is reachable from Magic Kingdom, the Contemporary, and the Polynesian without a car
  • Parking at the resort for a dining reservation is typically validated, but confirm at the gate
  • Breakfast at 7:30 am is the slot to target for a Magic Kingdom morning; it is also the one that disappears first

The Bottom Line

Grand Floridian Café is back on November 2, 2026, with breakfast 7:30–11, lunch 11:30–2, and dinner 5–9. All three are bookable right now.

Nobody has said what changed during four months of work, which is a real gap. But the monorail-loop breakfast tables are the scarce resource here, and those are open today.

I’m no stranger to Disney planning, as a Disneyland magic key holder and DVC member. I’m the person people ask for trip planning advice. But I had never been on a Disney cruise, and had heard great about Nate and decided to reach out. I’m so glad I did because we could not have been happier with our experience. His tips and insights were incredibly helpful, and he was incredibly responsive any time we had a question. Who do the Disney experts turn to when they need help? Nate, that’s who. We’ll definitely be using him again.

Our experience working with Nate as our Disney vacation planner was exceptional. He was responsive and thorough. He gave us insights that made the trip go much more smoothly. We were able to really relax and focus on quality time as a family and have so much fun doing it! I will definitely reach out for any future trips.

Could not have wanted or expected more from Nate, our Distrips and More agent as we planned our 2025 Disney World trip. Nate was VERY responsive to emails and texts and more than willing to do whatever he could to guide us and answer our questions. On several occasions I emailed him over the weekend not expecting a response until Monday but each time he responded before the weekend was over. He even participated in a Zoom session with our group of five seniors as we planned our trip. He also helped us at the 11th hour when we added a family member to our travel group less than a month before our trip. Without a doubt, I will reach out to Nate when I'm ready to plan my next trip to Disney World!

We are so thankful we used Nate to plan not only our first Disney trip, but also our second. He made the process so easy for us, especially for us since it was our first time going. There was a lot to consider and many decisions to make, such as where to stay, when to go, and what to experience. Nate really helped us narrow down what we wanted to do overall, but he didn’t stop there. He provided detailed guides to help us navigate the airport and find our transportation to the resort, as well as a guide to explore the resorts and make sure we saw the best Christmas decorations. One of the many amazing things he also did was set up our dinner reservations for us. This saved us so much stress and allowed us to get some of our top choices. From the moment we landed in Orlando to the moment we headed back home, he made sure everything went smoothly. You truly can’t go wrong with going to him for your next trip.

Nathan has been an amazing trip planner for me! So helpful and responsive. I am a very type A person -- so someone who is even more on top of their game than me -- is so so appreciated! Nathan has booked 3 trips for me (1 completed 2 pending) and it was perfection. Thanks again!

Nate has helped us with our vacation planning for the last couple of years and we couldn't be happier with his service and expertise. We've used other travel agents in the past and none of them have done as phenomenal a job to make sure every detail is taken care of as he has. Switching to Nate was one of the best decisions we've ever made. He's always quick to answer questions and works tirelessly to make sure we get everything we want from our trips. Plus, he's just a genuinely great person who is wonderful to work with. Whether you're planning a trip to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, a Disney Cruise, or any other vacation, Nate is the guy you want putting it all together! Five stars across the board!
