We have a date. Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge opens July 1, 2027 — and DVC has revealed the booking windows, the room mix, and the return of an amenity members have been asking about for years.

- Cash bookings open October 6, 2026 for DVC owners
- Annual Passholders book October 7, general public October 8
- DVC points booking details come later

Booking Windows
Cash reservations open October 6, 2026 exclusively for Disney Vacation Club owners.
Walt Disney World Annual Passholders can begin booking on October 7, and the general public follows on October 8.
These dates apply to cash bookings only. Details for reserving with DVC points will be released at a later date.
Why Cash Availability Will Be Good for Years
Here’s a nuance that catches people out.
Lakeshore Lodge is believed to consist entirely of DVC villas, but blocks of rooms move into DVC booking inventory gradually as points are sold.
With nearly 900 rooms, that means significant cash availability for many years to come.
In plain terms: until Disney sells the points attached to a given block of rooms, those rooms are rented for cash like a regular hotel. A resort this size takes a long time to sell out.
That’s genuinely useful if you don’t own DVC. Newer DVC properties are often effectively unavailable on cash. This one won’t be.
The Room Mix
Disney revealed the full lineup:
- Duo Studios — two-person rooms
- Resort Studios
- Deluxe Studios
- One-, Two-, and Three-Bedroom Villas
- A-frame Lake Houses lining the shores of Bay Lake
- The Hidden Willow Presidential Suite
Guest room theming includes artwork and decor inspired by Brother Bear, Bambi, Encanto, Fantasia, and Pocahontas.
Two Room Types Worth Understanding
Duo Studios sleep two. DVC has been adding these across newer properties, and they’re aimed squarely at couples and solo travellers — the members who’ve historically had to book a full studio sized for four or five.
Resort Studios are the more interesting inclusion, and there’s a reason they exist here.
Lakeshore Lodge was originally announced in 2018 as Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge, planned as a combination hotel and DVC property. Plans were derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The hotel rooms appear to have been absorbed into the DVC component — which likely explains the presence of hotel-style Resort Studios. They’re the ghost of the hotel half of the original plan.
The Artist’s Nest
Lakeshore Lodge will feature The Artist’s Nest concierge lounge, available to club level guests, with:
- Daily snacks and beverages
- A dedicated lounge space
- Access to staff members to assist with planning both before and during the visit
This Is the Headline for DVC Members
Assuming club level accommodations are bookable using DVC points, this would be the first property offering a concierge level to members in nearly 20 years.
Club level access is one of the longest-running requests in the DVC community. Walt Disney World’s deluxe resorts have offered concierge floors for decades, but DVC members generally haven’t been able to book them on points.
The caveat is doing real work in that sentence. “Assuming club level accommodations are bookable using DVC points” is not confirmed. If The Artist’s Nest turns out to be cash-only, the amenity exists but the member benefit doesn’t.
Wait for the points booking details before getting attached to this.
What We Still Don’t Know
- DVC point charts — unreleased
- Purchase costs — unreleased
- Points booking dates and rules — unreleased
- Whether club level is points-bookable — unconfirmed
- Cash rates — unreleased
Disney says all of this will be published at a future date.
Construction Status
The resort is well along. Aerial photos from earlier this month showed the Daydream River lazy river channel with its winding concrete path complete and palm trees already planted along the banks, plus decking laid around both the Lakeside Lagoon feature pool and the Perspective Pond leisure pool.
Landscaping in the ground is the tell. You don’t plant mature palms along a channel you still need to drive equipment past — and it gives the plants a growing season before guests arrive.
A July 1, 2027 opening looks credible on that evidence.
Where It Sits
Lakeshore Lodge occupies the shore of Bay Lake, between Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, with direct boat access to Magic Kingdom.
Boat access puts it in a small club — only the Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, and Fort Wilderness have water transportation to the park.
Disney is also investing across its watercraft operation right now, with a dock expansion filed at the Bay Lake service marina, a queue expansion at the Seven Seas Lagoon ferry docks, and the first new Magic Kingdom ferry since 1976 under construction.
The Bottom Line
Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge opens July 1, 2027. Cash bookings open October 6, 2026 for DVC owners, October 7 for Annual Passholders, and October 8 for everyone else.
The resort carries nearly 900 rooms spanning Duo Studios, Resort Studios, Deluxe Studios, one- to three-bedroom villas, A-frame Lake Houses on Bay Lake, and the Hidden Willow Presidential Suite — themed to Brother Bear, Bambi, Encanto, Fantasia, and Pocahontas.
The Artist’s Nest concierge lounge could be the first club level available to DVC members in nearly two decades, though points eligibility isn’t confirmed. Point charts and pricing come later.
