Disney Cruise Line is updating three sets of policies fleet-wide starting June 3, 2026. The changes cover what alcohol guests can bring aboard, how camera equipment like selfie sticks and tripods are handled, and where stateroom door decorations can be placed. If you have a Disney Cruise Line sailing coming up this summer, here is what you need to know before you board.
Quick Summary
- Three Disney Cruise Line policy changes roll out fleet-wide starting June 3, 2026
- Alcohol: guests 21+ may bring one bottle of wine/champagne (750ml) or six beers (12oz each) at embarkation — in carry-on only
- Port wine/beer purchases now held until voyage end, in line with industry standard
- Dining room corkage fee drops from $29 to $20
- Selfie sticks and tripods permitted onboard if folded and under 18 inches; longer must stay in stateroom
- Stateroom door decorations remain allowed — hallway walls and ceilings are off-limits
Alcohol Policy Changes
The most significant change is to the alcohol policy. Starting June 3, guests 21 and older may bring either one unopened bottle of wine or champagne (up to 750ml) or six beers (up to 12oz each) at embarkation. All alcohol must be carried in carry-on luggage — not checked bags.
The dining room corkage fee drops from $29 to $20 per bottle for guests who bring their own wine to dinner. And any wine or beer purchased at ports of call will now be collected by the ship and held until the end of your voyage — standard practice across the cruise industry, now applied to Disney Cruise Line.
Selfie Sticks and Tripods Now Permitted
Selfie sticks, handheld extension poles, and tripods are now permitted onboard. You can use them in most areas of the ship as long as they are folded and measure under 18 inches. Equipment longer than 18 inches must stay in your stateroom and can only be brought out when you go ashore. This is a welcome clarification for guests who bring photography gear — you can now keep compact setups accessible during your sailing.
Stateroom Door Decorations
Door decorating is a beloved Disney Cruise Line tradition, and it is staying. The new policy simply clarifies the rules: decorations must go on stateroom doors only. Hallway walls and ceilings are off-limits. All decorations must follow existing guidelines.
Rollout Schedule by Ship
The policies roll out across the Disney Cruise Line fleet over one week:
- June 3 — Disney Fantasy
- June 4 — Disney Adventure, Disney Magic
- June 5 — Disney Wish
- June 6 — Disney Treasure, Disney Destiny
- June 8 — Disney Dream, Disney Wonder
If you board before your ship’s rollout date, the old policies still apply for your sailing. Check your ship’s specific date if you have a cruise departing in early June. Stay tuned to DisMornings for any further Disney Cruise Line policy updates.
