Cutie Ghost Halloween Collection Returns With a Pastel Update

Reading Time: 5 minutes
Disney Store Cutie Ghost Halloween collection

The Cutie Ghosts are back, and this year they’re pastel. A new Cutie Ghost collection arrives at Walt Disney World on August 3, bringing a pink-and-orange update to the popular Halloween line.

The Cutie Ghost Halloween collection covers apparel, accessories, and home goods, all featuring Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse dressed up as friendly ghosts, with a few pumpkin accents mixed in.

The same items go up for sale on DisneyStore.com on August 10 at 8am PST — a full week after the parks.

Here’s everything in the collection and which pieces are worth chasing.

Quick Summary

  • The Cutie Ghost collection arrives at Walt Disney World August 3
  • DisneyStore.com sales begin August 10 at 8am PST
  • This year’s update shifts the line to a pastel pink-and-orange palette
  • The collection spans apparel, accessories, home goods, and drinkware
  • A Kendra Scott jewelry collection is exclusive to Disneyland and Walt Disney World
  • Several home items are Disney Store exclusives

Apparel

The apparel lineup includes a sports jersey, a T-shirt, and a pullover sweatshirt. The sweatshirt features a set of Mickey and Minnie pumpkins.

There’s also a pajama set, a children’s T-shirt, and a children’s skort in the collection.

These pieces work as park outfits or everyday Halloween wear, which is the whole appeal of the Cutie Ghost line. Pastel ghosts read as seasonal without being aggressively costume-y, so you can wear the sweatshirt in October and not feel like you’re in a Halloween outfit.

The Sweatshirt Is the Buy

If you’re getting one apparel piece, make it the pullover sweatshirt.

Florida in early August is not sweatshirt weather, but this collection runs through the fall season, and a Halloween sweatshirt is the item you’ll actually wear year after year. Seasonal T-shirts get worn once. Seasonal sweatshirts become part of the rotation.

The sports jersey is the more distinctive design, but jerseys are a taste thing. The sweatshirt is the safe pick.

Cutie Ghost ear headbands and accessories

Accessories

This year’s Cutie Ghost accessories include:

  • Two ear headbands — one with Mickey and Minnie as a ghost pair, one with a pink Minnie pumpkin and orange bow
  • A Minnie Mouse ghost claw clip
  • A tote bag with Minnie’s pumpkin face on one side and Mickey’s ghost with “hey boo” script on the other
  • A purple mini backpack (Loungefly)
  • A Little Words Project keychain featuring Ghost Minnie Mouse
  • A Kendra Scott jewelry collection with earrings, a necklace, and a bracelet, sold only at Disneyland and Walt Disney World

The Kendra Scott Pieces Are the Real Exclusive

Read that last line again: the Kendra Scott collection is sold only at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

That means no DisneyStore.com backup on August 10. If you want the earrings, necklace, or bracelet, you need to be in a park.

Kendra Scott collaborations at Disney have a pattern of selling through quickly, and jewelry has a higher resale profile than apparel. Treat these as day-one purchases if they’re on your list.

The Loungefly mini backpack is the other item worth prioritizing. Loungefly seasonal releases move fast, and a purple Cutie Ghost mini backpack is the kind of piece that shows up on resale sites at a markup within days.

Home Goods and Decor

The home decor items include:

  • A Ghost Minnie Mouse blow mold that switches between white and pink lights — exclusive to Disney Store
  • A Ghost Mickey Mouse tabletop bubble blower — exclusive to Disney Store
  • A matching lanyard that adds bubbles and sound
  • A Cutie Ghost dish set (plate, bowl, and cup) — exclusive to Disney Store
  • A stainless-steel straw tumbler with a ghost straw topper
  • A Cutie Ghost pillow
  • A Cutie Ghost mug

The blow mold is the standout, and it’s a smart read of where Halloween decorating has gone. Vintage-style blow molds have had a serious resurgence, and a Ghost Minnie that switches between white and pink lights is squarely aimed at people who decorate seriously for the season.

The tabletop bubble blower is the more whimsical option and the one kids will gravitate toward.

Where and When to Buy

Walt Disney World: August 3.

DisneyStore.com: August 10 at 8am PST.

That week-long gap matters. If you’re in the parks the first week of August, you get first pick. If you’re shopping online, popular pieces may already be thin.

Planning notes:

  • The Kendra Scott jewelry has no online option. Parks only, both coasts.
  • Disney Store exclusives go the other way. The blow mold, bubble blower, and dish set are Disney Store items, so don’t expect to find them at every park shop.
  • Set an alarm for August 10 at 8am PST. That’s 11am Eastern. Disney Store drops for popular seasonal collections sell out within hours.
  • World of Disney and the Emporium are your best park bets. Both carry the widest seasonal merchandise selection at Walt Disney World.

How This Compares to Last Year

The Cutie Ghost collection follows last year’s debut, which included pajama sets, a Loungefly mini backpack, and a light-up glow necklace among other items.

The pastel palette is the meaningful change. Last year’s line leaned more traditional Halloween. Shifting to pink and orange broadens the appeal considerably — pastel Halloween has been a growing aesthetic, and it makes the pieces wearable outside of October in a way the darker version wasn’t.

Expanding into home decor is the other notable shift. A blow mold, dish set, and pillow suggest Disney sees this as a decorating line now, not just an apparel drop.

The Bottom Line

The Cutie Ghost Halloween collection arrives at Walt Disney World August 3 and on DisneyStore.com August 10 at 8am PST, with a pastel pink-and-orange refresh spanning apparel, accessories, home decor, and drinkware.

Prioritize the Kendra Scott jewelry and the Loungefly backpack in the parks since jewelry is parks-exclusive, grab the pullover sweatshirt as the apparel pick, and set an alarm for the online drop if you can’t get to a park in the first week of August.

I’m no stranger to Disney planning, as a Disneyland magic key holder and DVC member. I’m the person people ask for trip planning advice. But I had never been on a Disney cruise, and had heard great about Nate and decided to reach out. I’m so glad I did because we could not have been happier with our experience. His tips and insights were incredibly helpful, and he was incredibly responsive any time we had a question. Who do the Disney experts turn to when they need help? Nate, that’s who. We’ll definitely be using him again.

Our experience working with Nate as our Disney vacation planner was exceptional. He was responsive and thorough. He gave us insights that made the trip go much more smoothly. We were able to really relax and focus on quality time as a family and have so much fun doing it! I will definitely reach out for any future trips.

Could not have wanted or expected more from Nate, our Distrips and More agent as we planned our 2025 Disney World trip. Nate was VERY responsive to emails and texts and more than willing to do whatever he could to guide us and answer our questions. On several occasions I emailed him over the weekend not expecting a response until Monday but each time he responded before the weekend was over. He even participated in a Zoom session with our group of five seniors as we planned our trip. He also helped us at the 11th hour when we added a family member to our travel group less than a month before our trip. Without a doubt, I will reach out to Nate when I'm ready to plan my next trip to Disney World!

We are so thankful we used Nate to plan not only our first Disney trip, but also our second. He made the process so easy for us, especially for us since it was our first time going. There was a lot to consider and many decisions to make, such as where to stay, when to go, and what to experience. Nate really helped us narrow down what we wanted to do overall, but he didn’t stop there. He provided detailed guides to help us navigate the airport and find our transportation to the resort, as well as a guide to explore the resorts and make sure we saw the best Christmas decorations. One of the many amazing things he also did was set up our dinner reservations for us. This saved us so much stress and allowed us to get some of our top choices. From the moment we landed in Orlando to the moment we headed back home, he made sure everything went smoothly. You truly can’t go wrong with going to him for your next trip.

Nathan has been an amazing trip planner for me! So helpful and responsive. I am a very type A person -- so someone who is even more on top of their game than me -- is so so appreciated! Nathan has booked 3 trips for me (1 completed 2 pending) and it was perfection. Thanks again!

Nate has helped us with our vacation planning for the last couple of years and we couldn't be happier with his service and expertise. We've used other travel agents in the past and none of them have done as phenomenal a job to make sure every detail is taken care of as he has. Switching to Nate was one of the best decisions we've ever made. He's always quick to answer questions and works tirelessly to make sure we get everything we want from our trips. Plus, he's just a genuinely great person who is wonderful to work with. Whether you're planning a trip to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, a Disney Cruise, or any other vacation, Nate is the guy you want putting it all together! Five stars across the board!
