Avenger Campus expansion

Hey Disneyland Vacationers, are you ready for something epic? Because Disneyland just dropped some seriously exciting news that’s about to make Avengers fans lose their minds. Buckle up, because the Avengers Campus at Disneyland is about to double in size with not one, but two brand new attractions. That’s right, the campus is expanding, and it’s going to be bigger, better, and packed with more action than ever before. Construction kicks off next year, so let’s dive into what you can expect from this superhero-sized Avengers Campus expansion.

Avengers Campus Expansion: What You Need to Know

First off, let’s talk about what this expansion means. The Avengers Campus has been a fan-favorite spot at Disneyland since it opened, bringing together some of the most beloved Marvel characters and experiences. But Disney isn’t stopping there. They’re taking things to the next level with an expansion that’s going to offer even more immersive, action-packed experiences. The highlight? Two brand new attractions that’ll make you feel like you’re part of the Avengers team yourself.

Avengers Infinity Defense: A Multi-World Adventure

The first of these new attractions is called Avengers Infinity Defense, and trust me, it’s going to be legendary. Picture this: technology that lets the Avengers jump between worlds has gone missing, and who else but King Thanos is behind the chaos. Now, it’s up to you, the recruit, to help stop him. You’ll be traveling to some iconic locations—Asgard, Wakanda, New York City—alongside some of the biggest (and smallest) heroes in the Marvel Universe.

But it’s not just about the places you’ll go; it’s about who you’ll face. And yes, that means you might just find yourself in a showdown with King Thanos himself. The whole experience is designed to make you feel like you’re right in the middle of the action, fighting alongside the Avengers to save the day. It’s going to be a multi-world adventure that’s unlike anything you’ve experienced before at Disneyland.

It’s still unknown what ride system Disney will use for this attraction, however, we did explore one concept using a new Soarin’ type ride technology in a previous article.

Avengers Campus Expansion

Stark Flight Lab: Fly Like a Superhero

Now, if you’re up for another mission, Tony Stark has something new and exciting lined up just for you. Introducing the Stark Flight Lab, where you’ll get to step into Tony’s shoes and experience what it’s like to be a superhero. And let’s be real—when Tony Stark says he’s got something new, you know it’s going to be wild.

Here’s how it works: you’ll sit in a two-person pod and get deployed to a test station. Then, a robot arm grabs your pod and starts whirling you around in what can only be described as a simulated superhero flight. Sounds cool, right? But there’s more. Robert Downey Jr. is back as Tony Stark, and he’s going to guide you through the entire experience, making you feel like you’re part of his latest and greatest experiment.

Ride System and Concept Art: What to Expect

If you’re wondering how they’re going to pull this off, we’ve got some insider details. The Stark Flight Lab is expected to use the Kuka Coaster ride system—the same system that Universal uses in their Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey attraction. If you’ve ever been on that ride, you know it’s a total game-changer. The Kuka system allows for a super dynamic and immersive ride experience, and it’s going to make Stark Flight Lab one of the most exciting attractions at Disneyland.

And that’s not all. Rumor has it that Stark Flight Lab might have a portion of the attraction outdoors or at least feature large glass windows where guests can see the ride in action as they walk by. This would add some much-needed kinetic energy to Avengers Campus, making the land feel even more alive and dynamic.

The Future of Avengers Campus

So, what does this all mean for the future of Avengers Campus? In short, it’s going to be incredible. The expansion is set to make Avengers Campus the ultimate destination for Marvel fans. With these two new attractions, Disney is doubling down on their commitment to creating immersive, next-level experiences that make you feel like you’re part of the Marvel Universe.

Whether you’re battling King Thanos in Avengers Infinity Defense or taking flight in Stark Flight Lab, this expansion is all about putting you in the center of the action. So get ready, recruits—Avengers Campus is about to get a whole lot bigger, and you won’t want to miss it.

Final Thoughts: Ready to Join the Adventure?

The Avengers Campus expansion at Disneyland is shaping up to be one of the most exciting things to happen at the park in a long time. With construction starting next year, it’s only a matter of time before we get to experience these epic new attractions for ourselves. So whether you’re a die-hard Marvel fan or just someone looking for an incredible adventure, the Avengers Campus expansion is definitely something to keep on your radar.

Stay tuned for more updates as Disney continues to unveil more details about this massive expansion. And remember, Avengers Campus isn’t just a place to visit—it’s a place where you can be a hero.

I’m no stranger to Disney planning, as a Disneyland magic key holder and DVC member. I’m the person people ask for trip planning advice. But I had never been on a Disney cruise, and had heard great about Nate and decided to reach out. I’m so glad I did because we could not have been happier with our experience. His tips and insights were incredibly helpful, and he was incredibly responsive any time we had a question. Who do the Disney experts turn to when they need help? Nate, that’s who. We’ll definitely be using him again.

We were able to really relax and focus on quality time as a family and have so much fun doing it! I will definitely reach out for any future trips.

Could not have wanted or expected more from Nate, our Distrips and More agent as we planned our 2025 Disney World trip. Nate was VERY responsive to emails and texts and more than willing to do whatever he could to guide us and answer our questions. On several occasions I emailed him over the weekend not expecting a response until Monday but each time he responded before the weekend was over. He even participated in a Zoom session with our group of five seniors as we planned our trip. He also helped us at the 11th hour when we added a family member to our travel group less than a month before our trip. Without a doubt, I will reach out to Nate when I'm ready to plan my next trip to Disney World!

We are so thankful we used Nate to plan not only our first Disney trip, but also our second. He made the process so easy for us, especially for us since it was our first time going. There was a lot to consider and many decisions to make, such as where to stay, when to go, and what to experience. Nate really helped us narrow down what we wanted to do overall, but he didn’t stop there. He provided detailed guides to help us navigate the airport and find our transportation to the resort, as well as a guide to explore the resorts and make sure we saw the best Christmas decorations. One of the many amazing things he also did was set up our dinner reservations for us. This saved us so much stress and allowed us to get some of our top choices. From the moment we landed in Orlando to the moment we headed back home, he made sure everything went smoothly. You truly can’t go wrong with going to him for your next trip.

Nathan has been an amazing trip planner for me! So helpful and responsive. I am a very type A person -- so someone who is even more on top of their game than me -- is so so appreciated! Nathan has booked 3 trips for me (1 completed 2 pending) and it was perfection. Thanks again!

Nate has helped us with our vacation planning for the last couple of years and we couldn't be happier with his service and expertise. We've used other travel agents in the past and none of them have done as phenomenal a job to make sure every detail is taken care of as he has. Switching to Nate was one of the best decisions we've ever made. He's always quick to answer questions and works tirelessly to make sure we get everything we want from our trips. Plus, he's just a genuinely great person who is wonderful to work with. Whether you're planning a trip to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, a Disney Cruise, or any other vacation, Nate is the guy you want putting it all together! Five stars across the board!
