Hey Disney Vacation Club Members! I’ve got some important news to share about your beloved hangout spot at EPCOT. The DVC EPCOT Member Lounge is getting a makeover, and I want to make sure you’re in the loop about all the details.
Temporary Closure Dates
Mark your calendars because from June 2, 2024, to July 13, 2024, the DVC EPCOT Member Lounge will be temporarily closed for refurbishment. But don’t worry, this is just a temporary pause to bring you an even better experience. The lounge is set to reopen on July 14, 2024, with exciting new updates!
Where to Relax During the Closure
If you’re planning a trip to EPCOT® during the closure, we’ve got you covered. A temporary lounge will be set up inside The Odyssey, conveniently located between Test Track and the Mexico Pavilion. This space will be exclusively available for eligible Members, offering a cozy spot to unwind and enjoy some perks.
What to Expect at the Temporary Lounge
- Comfortable Seating: Relax in style and comfort while taking a break from exploring the park.
- Complimentary Beverages and Snacks: Stay refreshed with free drinks and snacks.
- Additional Paid Offerings: If you’re craving something more, there will be extra food and beverage options available for purchase within The Odyssey.
The temporary lounge will be open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (hours subject to change). Just remember, the same eligibility and rules for the Member Lounge apply here as well.
What’s Behind the Refurbishment?
So, what’s the buzz about this refurbishment? Well, it might have something to do with a permit filed earlier in May for work on the Imagination Pavilion. Interestingly, the DVC EPCOT Member Lounge refurbishment is slated to finish way before the permit expires on November 28, 2025. This suggests that the current work could be just the beginning, with potentially more updates on the horizon for the Imagination Pavilion. While I don’t have all the details yet, I’ll be keeping an eye out for any new developments.
