Brooks Ghost 18 Minnie Mouse runDisney shoe

The first runDisney x Brooks shoe for the 2027 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is here, and it’s all about Minnie Mouse. The Ghost 18 Minnie Mouse is a limited-edition design that will debut at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo in January, and it leans hard into pink, glitter, and polka dots.

It’s only the first reveal. More designs in the 2027 lineup are expected to be announced, but if you’re a Minnie fan running in January, this is the one to start planning around.

Quick Summary

  • The Ghost 18 Minnie Mouse is the first runDisney x Brooks shoe revealed for 2027 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend.
  • Price: $170.
  • Design: pink with glitter finishes, polka dots, playful beads, and a Minnie signature detail.
  • Sizes: men’s 7–15 and women’s 5–12, with wide sizing for women only (subject to availability).
  • On sale Wednesday, January 6, 2027, the first day of the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo at ESPN Wide World of Sports.
  • A virtual queue will be in place, with a limit of two pairs per adult on opening day.
  • The Ghost 18 Goofy from Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend is also returning for Marathon Weekend.

A Closer Look at the Ghost 18 Minnie Mouse

The Minnie Ghost 18 is about as Minnie as a running shoe can get. The design is built around pink, with glitter finishes and Minnie’s signature polka dots. Playful beads add a bit of texture, and a Minnie signature detail ties it all together.

Multiple angles of the Brooks Ghost 18 Minnie Mouse shoe

It’s a bold, fun shoe, which makes sense for Marathon Weekend, where plenty of runners go all in on costumes and character themes. If you’re planning a Minnie-inspired race outfit, this shoe finishes the look.

The Ghost is one of Brooks’ neutral daily trainers, known for a soft, balanced ride. That makes it a reasonable choice for runners who don’t need extra stability, but as always, fit matters more than the design. If you’ve never run in a Ghost, try a standard pair at a running store before the expo so you know your size.

Sizes and Price

The Ghost 18 Minnie Mouse costs $170 and comes in:

  • Men’s: sizes 7–15
  • Women’s: sizes 5–12, with wide sizing available for women only

All sizes are subject to availability. Popular sizes tend to sell out quickly at runDisney expos, especially for character designs, so if you have a common size, aim to shop as early as you can on Day 1.

When and How to Buy

The Ghost 18 Minnie Mouse goes on sale Wednesday, January 6, 2027, on the first day of the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo at ESPN Wide World of Sports.

  • Virtual queue: As always, a virtual queue will be in place for access to the Brooks shoe area.
  • Purchase limit: Two pairs per adult purchaser on opening day.

That limit is stricter than the Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend expo, which allowed two pairs per design, up to eight pairs total. For Marathon Weekend, Disney lists two pairs per adult on opening day. It’s worth checking the official runDisney guidance closer to the event to see whether that changes as more designs are announced.

Goofy Is Coming Back Too

Minnie won’t be the only character shoe at the expo. The Ghost 18 Goofy, which debuted for the 2026 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, is also returning for the 2027 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend.

That’s good news if you missed it. The Goofy shoe was available only in limited quantities at Wine & Dine because of delivery disruptions, with additional inventory planned for Marathon Weekend. It also fits the weekend nicely, since Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge is one of the best-known events of Marathon Weekend.

More Designs Are Coming

The Ghost 18 Minnie Mouse is only the first reveal. More designs in the full 2027 runDisney x Brooks lineup are expected to be announced. It’s worth waiting to see the whole collection before you decide which pair to prioritize.

Planning for Marathon Weekend

If you’re running in January, there’s a lot to plan beyond shoes. We’ve already covered the 2027 Walt Disney World Marathon medals, which feature Donald Duck across all six for the Half Marathon’s 30th anniversary. A few tips for expo day:

  • Know your virtual queue timing. Find out when the queue opens and set a reminder.
  • Arrive early on Day 1. Shoe sales, merchandise, and bib pickup can all compete for your time.
  • Have a backup plan. If your size is gone, decide in advance whether you’d take a different design.

The Bottom Line

The Ghost 18 Minnie Mouse is the first runDisney x Brooks shoe for the 2027 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, and it’s a pink, glittery, polka-dot celebration of Minnie. It costs $170 and goes on sale Wednesday, January 6, 2027, at the expo, with a virtual queue and a two-pair limit per adult on opening day. The Goofy shoe is coming back too, and more designs are on the way, so keep an eye out for the full lineup before expo day.

I’m no stranger to Disney planning, as a Disneyland magic key holder and DVC member. I’m the person people ask for trip planning advice. But I had never been on a Disney cruise, and had heard great about Nate and decided to reach out. I’m so glad I did because we could not have been happier with our experience. His tips and insights were incredibly helpful, and he was incredibly responsive any time we had a question. Who do the Disney experts turn to when they need help? Nate, that’s who. We’ll definitely be using him again.

Our experience working with Nate as our Disney vacation planner was exceptional. He was responsive and thorough. He gave us insights that made the trip go much more smoothly. We were able to really relax and focus on quality time as a family and have so much fun doing it! I will definitely reach out for any future trips.

Could not have wanted or expected more from Nate, our Distrips and More agent as we planned our 2025 Disney World trip. Nate was VERY responsive to emails and texts and more than willing to do whatever he could to guide us and answer our questions. On several occasions I emailed him over the weekend not expecting a response until Monday but each time he responded before the weekend was over. He even participated in a Zoom session with our group of five seniors as we planned our trip. He also helped us at the 11th hour when we added a family member to our travel group less than a month before our trip. Without a doubt, I will reach out to Nate when I'm ready to plan my next trip to Disney World!

We are so thankful we used Nate to plan not only our first Disney trip, but also our second. He made the process so easy for us, especially for us since it was our first time going. There was a lot to consider and many decisions to make, such as where to stay, when to go, and what to experience. Nate really helped us narrow down what we wanted to do overall, but he didn’t stop there. He provided detailed guides to help us navigate the airport and find our transportation to the resort, as well as a guide to explore the resorts and make sure we saw the best Christmas decorations. One of the many amazing things he also did was set up our dinner reservations for us. This saved us so much stress and allowed us to get some of our top choices. From the moment we landed in Orlando to the moment we headed back home, he made sure everything went smoothly. You truly can’t go wrong with going to him for your next trip.

Nathan has been an amazing trip planner for me! So helpful and responsive. I am a very type A person -- so someone who is even more on top of their game than me -- is so so appreciated! Nathan has booked 3 trips for me (1 completed 2 pending) and it was perfection. Thanks again!

Nate has helped us with our vacation planning for the last couple of years and we couldn't be happier with his service and expertise. We've used other travel agents in the past and none of them have done as phenomenal a job to make sure every detail is taken care of as he has. Switching to Nate was one of the best decisions we've ever made. He's always quick to answer questions and works tirelessly to make sure we get everything we want from our trips. Plus, he's just a genuinely great person who is wonderful to work with. Whether you're planning a trip to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, a Disney Cruise, or any other vacation, Nate is the guy you want putting it all together! Five stars across the board!
