Jollywood Nights 2026 is getting a new lounge, two character meets that have never happened at the event before, and Disney characters in the Glisten! skating show for the first time.
The event runs on select nights from November 7 through January 5, 2027 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios — 15 nights total.

Checkin’ It Twice Lounge
The new lounge lands in Animation Courtyard and is pitched as a place to sit, sip, and take a break between shows and attractions. What Disney has shared:
- Specialty beverages
- A live DJ
- Entertainment throughout the evening
More details and a menu are still coming.
The location choice is the interesting part. Animation Courtyard is one of the quieter corners of Hollywood Studios, and putting a lounge with a DJ there pulls foot traffic into a stretch of the park that otherwise does not do much on a party night. For guests, that is the useful read: it is likely to be less crowded than anything on Sunset or Hollywood Boulevard.
This is the first year that the new Walt Disney Studio aspects of Animation Courtyard are open. And Disney is wasting no time expanding the festivities into this part of the park. It makes a lot sense, especially since Muppet Courtyard is closed for its transformation into Monstropolis.
Note what Disney has not said — whether the lounge requires a separate reservation. “Specialty beverages” at a Disney hard-ticket event almost always means paid, on top of your ticket. Treat it as an add-on until Disney says otherwise.
George Sanderson and Needleman — First Time Ever
This is the one that will move tickets.
George Sanderson and Needleman from Monsters, Inc. are meeting guests at Jollywood Nights for the first time. For anyone who has not thought about Monsters, Inc. in a while: George is the monster who repeatedly gets a sock stuck to his fur and gets shaved down by the Child Detection Agency. Needleman is one of the CDA agents who does the shaving.
They are deep-bench characters. That is exactly why park fans will line up — a first-ever meet with two obscure characters is a bigger draw for the enthusiast crowd than another Mickey set.
Disney has not shared where to find them. That matters for planning: first-ever character meets at hard-ticket events generate the longest lines of the night, and without a location you cannot build a touring plan around it yet.
There is also an obvious connection worth noting — Monstropolis is coming to Hollywood Studios in 2027. Putting Monsters, Inc. characters into this year’s holiday event, at the park that is building the land, reads like groundwork rather than coincidence. Disney has not framed it that way, so that is my read.
Disney Characters Join Glisten!
Glisten! returns, and Disney characters will appear in the skating show for the first time. Three confirmed:
- Donald Duck
- Daisy Duck
- Genie
Glisten! takes place in front of the Chinese Theater.
Genie is the standout of those three. A skating show is an odd fit for most Disney characters and a perfect one for Genie, whose whole register is vaudeville energy and physical comedy. Donald and Daisy as a pair is the safer, more conventional pick.
“These three confirmed” leaves room for more, and Disney has not said whether the character appearances change the show’s running time or its schedule.
Dates and Tickets
Jollywood Nights 2026 is a separately ticketed event with 15 nights:
- November: 7, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28
- December: 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 23
- January: 3, 5
Hours: Park entry as early as 5:30 pm. Event runs 7:30 pm to 12:30 am.
Tickets: $169 to $199 per person plus tax, depending on the date.
Discounts:
- Children ages 3 to 9 save $10 per ticket
- Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members save $10 per ticket, on all event nights
That last detail is better than it looks. Passholder discounts at Disney hard-ticket events are usually restricted to select early dates. “All event nights” means you get the $10 off on December 19 just as you do on November 7.
You can buy online or by calling Disney Central at 407-934-7639. Tickets are limited and may not be available day-of.
Which Nights to Pick
A few things to weigh:
November 7 is opening night and the first night of anything at Disney draws both crowds and glitches. November 14 and 16 are usually the sweeter spot — the event is running smoothly and December pricing has not kicked in.
January 3 and 5 are the sleeper picks. They are the last two nights, well past the holiday crowd peak, and the event is fully dialed in. If the new character meets are your priority, those nights will have the shortest lines.
December 19, 21, and 23 are the nights to avoid if you can — they sit in the busiest stretch of the Walt Disney World year.
Also note that January 5 is the end of the event, while most of the resort’s other 2026 holiday offerings — the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Muppets overlay among them — run through January 6.
The Bottom Line
A new lounge in Animation Courtyard, first-ever meets with George Sanderson and Needleman, and Genie on skates. That is a stronger set of additions than Jollywood Nights usually gets.
15 nights, November 7 through January 5, $169 to $199, with $10 off for Passholders and DVC on every night. The Monsters, Inc. characters showing up at the park building Monstropolis is the detail worth filing away.
