If Steak Frites was your order at the France pavilion, you need a new plan. The Chefs de France menu has been updated for fall 2026, adding three new entrées to both lunch and dinner while dropping three dishes, including that Steak Frites.
There’s also a quiet price increase on one appetizer, which is the kind of change that never gets announced but shows up on your check.
Here’s exactly what’s new, what’s gone, and what I’d order now.
Quick Summary
- Three new entrées added to both the lunch and dinner menus
- Filet de Boeuf, Sauce Au Poivre is the headline addition at $58.95
- Steak Frites is gone, along with two other dishes
- One price increase: the smoked salmon blinis appetizer went up $1
- All changes apply to both lunch and dinner
The Three New Entrées
All three were added to both the lunch and dinner menus:
- Filet de Boeuf, Sauce Au Poivre — $58.95. Filet mignon, bacon-wrapped asparagus, potato au gratin, and peppercorn sauce
- Le Croissant du Boucher — $29.95. Angus ground beef, alpine cheese, onion confit, and mustard aioli on a croissant bun
- Supreme de Poulet Rôti — $39.95. Roasted chicken supreme with a shallot and merlot vinegar reduction, served with potato purée
What These Changes Actually Do to the Menu
Look at the structure rather than the individual dishes and the strategy is obvious.
Steak Frites at $55.95 was the mid-to-high beef option. It’s been replaced by a filet mignon at $58.95, which is a higher-end cut at a higher price. The kitchen traded a bistro classic for a special-occasion plate.
At the other end, Le Croissant du Boucher at $29.95 is now the cheapest entrée on the list by a wide margin. A beef sandwich on a croissant bun is a smart addition to a menu where most entrées run $39 and up, especially at a pavilion full of guests who wandered in without a plan.
So the range widened in both directions. You can now eat here for under $30 or spend nearly $60 on a single plate.
What’s Gone
Three items were pulled from both the lunch and dinner menus:
- Jarret de Porc Braisé — $39.95. Braised heritage pork shank with lentil ragu and pearl onions
- Poulet au Vinaigre — $39.95. Airline chicken breast with a shallot and red vinegar sauce, tarragon, and potato purée
- Steak Frites — $55.95. Grilled strip loin, french fries, and béarnaise sauce
Steak Frites is the loss people will feel. It’s the dish most guests picture when they think of a French bistro, and it was one of the more recognizable orders on this menu for anyone who doesn’t speak the language of the rest of the card.
Note the chicken swap too. Poulet au Vinaigre came off at $39.95, and the new Supreme de Poulet Rôti went on at exactly $39.95 with a very similar shallot-and-vinegar treatment. That’s a reworked dish more than a removal.
The Price Increase
The Blinis de Saumon Fumé, Sauce à l’Aneth appetizer went from $18.95 to $19.95 on both the lunch and dinner menus.
A dollar isn’t going to change anyone’s trip. It’s worth noting only because appetizer creep is how a table service meal quietly moves from expensive to genuinely pricey. Two appetizers, two entrées, and a couple of glasses of wine at current prices puts a party of two near $200 before tip.
What I’d Order Now
A few honest picks depending on what you’re after.
If you want the best value: Le Croissant du Boucher at $29.95. It’s the only entrée under $30, and lunch at a table service restaurant in World Showcase for that price is rare.
If it’s a celebration: the Filet de Boeuf at $58.95. Bacon-wrapped asparagus and potato au gratin alongside filet mignon is a genuine steakhouse plate, and the setting does the rest.
If you want the safe middle: Supreme de Poulet Rôti at $39.95. Roast chicken with potato purée is hard to get wrong, and it’s the direct replacement for a dish that had its fans.
Planning Tips for Chefs de France
- Book ahead. France pavilion restaurants fill up fast during festival seasons, and EPCOT runs a festival most of the year
- Lunch is the better deal. The new entrées are on both menus at the same prices, so lunch gets you the same food in a calmer room
- Use it as a festival break. A sit-down meal with air conditioning in the middle of a Food and Wine day is worth more than another booth snack
- Check the menu when you arrive. Menus shift more often than Disney announces, and this update is a good example
The Bottom Line
The updated Chefs de France menu adds a $58.95 Filet de Boeuf, a $29.95 Croissant du Boucher, and a $39.95 Supreme de Poulet Rôti, while removing Steak Frites, Jarret de Porc Braisé, and Poulet au Vinaigre. The smoked salmon blinis appetizer is up a dollar to $19.95.
If you were coming for Steak Frites, the filet is the closest replacement and it costs $3 more. If you were looking for a reasonably priced World Showcase sit-down meal, the croissant sandwich just became one of the better options in the pavilion.
