One of the best-value experiences at EPCOT during the holidays is back, and it is cheaper than almost anything else with a reservation attached. Behind the Seeds: Glimmering Greenhouses returns to The Land pavilion for the 2026 holiday season, and bookings open September 24, 2026.
The price is holding at $59, the same as last year. In a year where most Disney experiences moved up, a flat price is worth pointing out.
Here is what the tour actually involves, every operating detail, and why the timing of your booking matters more than the date you pick.
Quick Summary
- Bookings for Behind the Seeds: Glimmering Greenhouses open September 24, 2026
- The tour runs November 27 through December 30, 2026
- Tours depart nightly at 6:00pm, 7:00pm, and 8:00pm
- The walking tour lasts one hour and costs $59, unchanged from last year
- It takes place in The Land pavilion’s working greenhouses at EPCOT
- Guests must be at least 3 years old
What the Tour Involves
Behind the Seeds: Glimmering Greenhouses is an evening version of the daytime Behind the Seeds tour, with a holiday twist.
During the one-hour walk through EPCOT’s working greenhouses, you will see the growing areas transformed with festive light displays, learn about crops tied to holiday food traditions, and explore sustainable growing techniques including hydroponics.
That combination is what makes it work. It is not a light display bolted onto a farm tour. The lights are in the greenhouses you would otherwise only glimpse from a boat.
Ride Living with the Land first. Disney specifically recommends it if you have not been before, because the attraction gives you a preview of the greenhouse areas you will walk through on foot. Doing the ride earlier in the day and the tour that evening is the right order.

Which Time Slot to Pick
All three tours cover the same ground, but they are not equivalent experiences.
6:00pm is the practical choice if you have dinner plans after, and it leaves your evening open for EPCOT’s nighttime show. It is also the slot most likely to still have daylight bleeding through the pavilion, which slightly softens the light displays.
7:00pm is the middle ground and usually the first to sell out.
8:00pm gives you the fullest darkness and the strongest visual version of the tour. The tradeoff is that you finish late, and it competes with nighttime entertainment.
If the lights are the reason you are booking, take 8:00pm. If you are fitting it into a full EPCOT day, take 6:00pm.
Why the $59 Price Matters
Put this next to the rest of the EPCOT holiday lineup and the value case gets obvious.
A Candlelight Processional dining package runs $43 to $109 per adult. Most special holiday experiences at Walt Disney World sit well above the $59 mark. This is an hour of guided, small-group access to a part of the park nobody else walks through, at a price that has not moved.
It also pairs well with the rest of the festival. The tour runs the same November 27 to December 30 window as the Candlelight Processional, so a single evening at EPCOT can cover both if you plan the times around each other.
Book on September 24
Here is the practical advice that matters most.
Capacity on a walking tour is small by definition. Three tours a night across a five-week run is not many seats, and this one has built a following.
Book on September 24 rather than later. Peak dates — the weeks around Christmas especially — will go first.
Have your date and time picked before the window opens. Deciding while you browse costs you the slot.
Mind the 24-hour cancellation rule. Cancelling inside a day forfeits the full $59. Be reasonably confident in your date before you commit.
The Bottom Line
Behind the Seeds: Glimmering Greenhouses returns November 27 through December 30, 2026 at $59, with bookings opening September 24. One hour, three nightly departures, and a walk through lit-up working greenhouses most EPCOT guests never see up close.
Ride Living with the Land first, take the 8:00pm slot if the lights are your priority, and book on opening day rather than hoping something opens up in December.
At a price that did not increase this year, it is one of the easier holiday add-ons to justify.
