Two dates to put in your calendar, and a six-day gap between them that decides whether you get the reservation you want.

Disney has announced that dining and dessert party reservations for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2026 open in September.

Quick Summary

  • Disney Resort hotel guests book from September 3, 2026
  • All other guests book from September 9, 2026
  • Four Magic Kingdom restaurants are taking party-night reservations
  • Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Party returns
  • The party runs select nights November 8 – December 22, 2026
  • Book through My Disney Experience or by phone

When Reservations Open

Disney Resort hotel guests can book starting September 3, 2026, for dates up to 60 days in advance of arrival, covering the entire length of their stay (up to a 10-night stay).

All other guests can book starting September 9, 2026.

The Six-Day Head Start Is the Whole Story

Resort guests get almost a week before anyone else, and for the most contested reservations that gap is decisive.

Cinderella’s Royal Table on a party night is the clearest example. It’s among the hardest reservations at Walt Disney World in normal circumstances. On a hard-ticket party night, with a limited number of parties and limited seatings, resort guests will have taken most of what’s available before September 9 arrives.

If you’re staying on property and want something specific, treat September 3 as a hard deadline, not a suggestion. Be in the app at the moment your window opens.

If you’re off-property, adjust expectations. Aim for The Plaza Restaurant or the dessert party rather than Cinderella’s Royal Table, and have backup dates ready.

What You Can Reserve

Four Magic Kingdom restaurants are accepting reservations for party nights:

  • Be Our Guest Restaurant
  • Cinderella’s Royal Table
  • The Plaza Restaurant
  • The Beak and Barrel

Plus the returning dessert party:

  • Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Party

A note on that list: Disney’s announcement rendered Be Our Guest as “Our Guests Restaurant,” which appears to be a typo in the release rather than a rename.

The Beak and Barrel Is the New One

The Beak and Barrel is Magic Kingdom’s pirate-themed bar in Adventureland, and it’s the newest addition to this lineup.

It’s a very different proposition to the other three. Be Our Guest, Cinderella’s Royal Table, and The Plaza are family table-service restaurants. The Beak and Barrel is a bar — smaller capacity, adult-leaning, and a genuinely unusual thing for Magic Kingdom to have at all.

Expect it to be difficult to book. Low capacity plus novelty plus limited party nights is the formula for a reservation that disappears immediately.

The Dessert Party

Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Party is a separately priced experience that includes:

  • An assortment of treats
  • Premium viewing of Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks

It’s a popular add-on that tends to book up quickly once reservations open.

Worth It or Not?

The honest case for it: party nights are capped attendance, so Magic Kingdom is already less crowded than a normal night. Premium fireworks viewing is worth less when the park isn’t packed.

The honest case against skipping it: Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks uses castle projections heavily, and projection-dependent shows have genuinely better and worse viewing angles. A reserved location facing the castle straight-on is a real advantage.

The deciding factor is usually the group. With small children who can’t stand for an hour holding a spot, a reserved dessert party area is worth the money. Without them, the free viewing on a capped-attendance night is fine.

How to Book

Reservations can be made through the My Disney Experience app or by calling Disney dining.

Practical notes:

  • You need a party ticket — dining reservations on party nights don’t grant event admission
  • Have your dates locked before the window opens. Deciding in the app costs you the reservation
  • Resort guests: your 60-day window runs from arrival and covers the full stay, so a longer trip gives you a wider booking range in one sitting
  • Keep checking after the initial rush. Cancellations surface regularly, particularly in the final two weeks before a date

Party Dates

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party runs on select nights from November 8 through December 22, 2026, at Magic Kingdom.

Note the December 22 end date. The party stops three days before Christmas — Magic Kingdom doesn’t need a separately ticketed event during the week when it’s at capacity anyway.

Early November dates are consistently the best value, with lower ticket prices and lighter attendance than December nights. The decor and entertainment are identical.

This also sits alongside Disneyland’s holiday season, which runs November 13 through January 6, 2027 — a slightly different shape on the West Coast.

The Bottom Line

Dining and dessert party reservations for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2026 open September 3 for Disney Resort hotel guests and September 9 for everyone else.

Four Magic Kingdom restaurants are taking party-night bookings — Be Our Guest, Cinderella’s Royal Table, The Plaza Restaurant, and The Beak and Barrel — plus Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Party.

The party runs select nights from November 8 through December 22. The six-day resort head start is the difference between getting Cinderella’s Royal Table and not.
