Part 1: La Cava Experience (12:45 – 2:30 PM)
The experience opens with a private guided tasting of six premium agave spirits led by Tequila Ambassador Humberto Soto. The tasting moves from blanco through aged tequilas, finishing with an artisanal mezcal. Chips and guacamole are served as a palate cleanser between pours.
Guests take home two keepsakes: an “Agave Connoisseur Club” pin and a commemorative tequila cocktail glass etched by Arribas Brothers with the La Cava Tequila logo.
Part 2: La Cava del Tequila — Two Exclusive Cocktails (2:30 – 3:15 PM)
The second portion moves into La Cava del Tequila for two cocktails that aren’t available anywhere else. The Aztec Eagle is the standout: a D23 Member-exclusive cocktail created in collaboration with the Walt Disney Archives, honoring Walt Disney’s Order of the Aztec Eagle — an award presented to Disney by the Mexican government in 1943 for his contributions to goodwill between the U.S. and Mexico. The cocktail is directly tied to that piece of Disney history.
The second cocktail is the Anniversary Old Fashioned — an aged in-house cocktail celebrating La Cava del Tequila’s 17th anniversary, available at this event before anyone else can order it. Guests in this portion also receive a stainless steel beverage sphere etched by Arribas Brothers with the number “23.”
Part 3: San Angel Inn Tasting Menu (3:15 – approx. 4:30 PM)
The event finishes at San Angel Inn with a curated tasting menu tracing the restaurant’s history from EPCOT’s 1982 opening back to its origins as a Mexico City culinary institution. Guests choose one appetizer, one main, and one dessert from the tasting menu, plus receive the original San Angel Inn margarita as served at the Mexico City restaurant — not the current menu version.
Each guest also receives a replica of the original 1982 San Angel Inn menu. For EPCOT history fans, this alone makes the experience worth the price of admission.
