The Singapore Tourism Board is also co-backing the event. Jean Ng, Assistant Chief Executive of the Experience Development Group, described it as “the very first time” D23 has come to Southeast Asia and said it strengthens their partnership with Disney. Government tourism backing at that level signals that this will be a fully supported, well-resourced event — not a small regional showcase.
