If you’ve been planning your Magic Kingdom mornings around Mickey’s PhilharMagic, it’s time to update your strategy.
Disney has quietly removed Mickey’s PhilharMagic from the Magic Kingdom early entry attraction lineup. If you’re an eligible resort hotel guest counting on that extra 30 minutes to get a head start on Fantasyland, PhilharMagic is no longer part of the deal. The good news: 14 attractions still qualify, and knowing your options is the key to making the most of your early morning.
Here’s everything you need to know about the updated Magic Kingdom early entry attractions list for 2026 — and how to plan around this change.
Quick Summary
- Mickey’s PhilharMagic has been removed from Magic Kingdom’s early entry attraction lineup
- PhilharMagic remains on the Extended Evening Hours list for eligible guests
- 14 attractions now make up the Magic Kingdom early entry lineup
- Early entry is available to guests staying at Disney-owned resort hotels
- Knowing which attractions are available early is essential for planning an efficient park day
What Is Magic Kingdom Early Entry?
Early entry is one of the best perks of staying at a Disney-owned resort hotel. Eligible guests can enter Magic Kingdom 30 minutes before the park officially opens to the general public. That half-hour window gives you a real advantage — shorter lines, fewer crowds, and a head start on the most popular attractions.
Not all attractions are open during early entry. Disney selects a specific lineup of rides, shows, and experiences for the pre-opening window. That list has shifted again in 2026, with PhilharMagic dropping off.
Why PhilharMagic Was Removed
Disney hasn’t given an official explanation for the change, which is typical. The company adjusts early entry lineups periodically based on operational capacity, staffing, show schedules, and strategic priorities. PhilharMagic is a theater-based show attraction, and theater shows require full operational staffing to run — which can make them less practical to include in a pre-park-opening slot.
It’s worth noting that PhilharMagic hasn’t gone away entirely. The attraction is still listed as part of Magic Kingdom’s Extended Evening Hours, which are available to guests of select Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts. So if you’re staying at one of those hotels and want to experience PhilharMagic with lighter crowds, your best window is actually at the end of the night rather than the beginning of the day.

Which Hotels Qualify for Early Entry?
Early entry is available to guests staying at Disney-owned resort hotels. This includes:
- All Disney Value Resorts (Pop Century, Art of Animation, All-Star Movies, All-Star Music, All-Star Sports)
- All Disney Moderate Resorts (Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Port Orleans Riverside, Port Orleans French Quarter)
- All Disney Deluxe Resorts (Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, BoardWalk, Yacht Club, Beach Club)
- All Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts (Disney Vacation Club properties)
- Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground
- Disney’s Riviera Resort
Guests staying at Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels or other non-Disney-owned properties near Walt Disney World do not receive early entry benefits.
How to Make the Most of Magic Kingdom Early Entry
Losing PhilharMagic from the early entry list isn’t a major disruption, but it’s a good reminder to plan your morning deliberately. Here’s how to get the most from your 30-minute head start:
Head straight for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. This is consistently one of the most popular attractions in all of Walt Disney World. Getting there before the park fully opens is one of the best strategies you can have. Even during early entry, a line can form quickly — so make this your first stop.
Follow up with Peter Pan’s Flight. This attraction has some of the longest wait times in Fantasyland throughout the day. Hitting it during early entry — right after Mine Train — gives you two of Fantasyland’s biggest draws before most guests are even through the gates.
Use Lightning Lane for the rest. Once the park officially opens, shift your strategy to Lightning Lane passes for the attractions that build the longest lines fastest. Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, and Haunted Mansion all qualify and can eat up a lot of time mid-day.
Magic Kingdom Early Entry Attractions 2026: Plan Accordingly
PhilharMagic dropping from the Magic Kingdom early entry lineup is a minor adjustment in the grand scheme of a full park day. The show is still a fun, immersive experience — it’s just best experienced now during regular park hours or Extended Evening Hours for Deluxe resort guests.
The 14 remaining early entry attractions still give you a strong foundation for a well-planned morning. Know what’s available, get there early, and prioritize the high-demand rides in that first 30-minute window. That’s the formula that makes a Magic Kingdom day work — with or without PhilharMagic in the mix.
Check the My Disney Experience app before every park day to confirm the current early entry lineup. Things change, and staying current is your best tool for planning a great day at Magic Kingdom in 2026.
