2027 EPCOT Festival of the Arts: Dates and What’s New

2027 EPCOT Festival of the Arts

Mark your January. The EPCOT Festival of the Arts 2027 runs January 15 through March 1, and that is a full extra week compared to previous years.

There is also something new in the lineup. The festival is presented by the Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game this year, bringing a set of family-friendly activities built around the card artwork.

If you have never done this one, it is the quietest and most underrated of EPCOT’s four festivals. Here is what runs, what is new, and how to plan a trip around it.

Quick Summary

  • The EPCOT Festival of the Arts runs January 15 through March 1, 2027
  • That is one week longer than previous years, giving you a six-week window
  • Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game presents the festival for the first time
  • New Lorcana experiences focus on the artwork featured on the cards
  • The Disney on Broadway Concert Series returns to America Gardens Theatre
  • Full menu details have not been released yet

What the Festival Actually Is

Festival of the Arts turns EPCOT into a gallery you walk through. Visual art, food, and live performance run together across the park for six weeks.

That mix is what separates it from the other EPCOT festivals. Food and Wine is about eating. Flower and Garden is about the gardens. Festival of the Arts gives you working artists, gallery displays, and a Broadway concert series alongside the food booths.

It is also the least crowded of the four, because mid-January through February is the quietest stretch of the Walt Disney World calendar. That is the real argument for going.

The Lorcana Addition

New this year, the festival includes experiences tied to the Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game. The activities focus on the artwork featured on the cards and are built to be family-friendly, so kids and adult collectors both have something to do.

This is a smart fit rather than a bolted-on sponsorship. Lorcana’s whole appeal to collectors is the card art, and an art festival is the right venue to put that in front of people.

What Disney has not released is the Lorcana activity schedule. If specific events matter to you, that information is still coming.

2027 EPCOT Festival of the Arts

Disney on Broadway Concert Series

The Disney on Broadway Concert Series returns to the America Gardens Theatre. Broadway performers take the stage to sing Disney songs, and here is the part worth underlining: it is included with your park admission.

A live Broadway-caliber concert at no extra charge is one of the better values at Walt Disney World, and it is the single strongest reason to build an evening around this festival.

Compare it to the Candlelight Processional in the same theater during the holidays, where a guaranteed seat means buying a dining package. Festival of the Arts gives you the same venue without the upcharge.

Food and Drink

The culinary and beverage teams build dishes and drinks designed to look as good as they taste. Presentation is the point at this festival more than any other.

Disney has not released the full menu lineup yet. The complete Foodie Guide typically arrives closer to opening, so treat the food side as a known unknown for now.

Why the Extra Week Matters

Adding a week to a six-week festival sounds minor. It is not, for two reasons.

More weekday coverage. Festival food booths and gallery displays are best on weekdays, and an extra week means more low-crowd weekdays to choose from.

A wider planning window. January and February trips get booked around specific dates. A longer run means fewer people forced into the same handful of weekends.

How This Fits a 2027 EPCOT Year

Here is the timing detail worth knowing if you are planning a spring trip.

Festival of the Arts ends March 1. The EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival picks up on March 10, 2027.

That is a nine-day gap. If you visit in early March, you may land between festivals and get neither. Book before March 1 or after March 10 rather than in that window.

How to Do This Festival Well

Go on a weekday. Mid-January through February weekdays are among the emptiest days at EPCOT all year.

Get to the concert early. America Gardens Theatre seating is first-come, first-served, and the Broadway series draws a real crowd despite being free.

Talk to the artists. Working artists are on site throughout the festival, and it is one of the few places at Walt Disney World where you can have an actual conversation as part of the experience.

Wait on the food plan. The Foodie Guide is not out. Do not build a food itinerary yet.

Watch for the Lorcana schedule. If your household plays, that schedule will drive which day you pick.

The Bottom Line

The EPCOT Festival of the Arts 2027 runs January 15 through March 1, one week longer than before, with Disney Lorcana joining as presenting partner and new art-focused activities in the mix.

The Disney on Broadway Concert Series remains the best free thing at the festival, and the low-crowd January and February window remains the best reason to go.

Book a weekday, stay ahead of the March 1 close, and check back for the Foodie Guide and Lorcana schedule as they land. We will cover both when Disney releases them.

I’m no stranger to Disney planning, as a Disneyland magic key holder and DVC member. I’m the person people ask for trip planning advice. But I had never been on a Disney cruise, and had heard great about Nate and decided to reach out. I’m so glad I did because we could not have been happier with our experience. His tips and insights were incredibly helpful, and he was incredibly responsive any time we had a question. Who do the Disney experts turn to when they need help? Nate, that’s who. We’ll definitely be using him again.

Our experience working with Nate as our Disney vacation planner was exceptional. He was responsive and thorough. He gave us insights that made the trip go much more smoothly. We were able to really relax and focus on quality time as a family and have so much fun doing it! I will definitely reach out for any future trips.

Could not have wanted or expected more from Nate, our Distrips and More agent as we planned our 2025 Disney World trip. Nate was VERY responsive to emails and texts and more than willing to do whatever he could to guide us and answer our questions. On several occasions I emailed him over the weekend not expecting a response until Monday but each time he responded before the weekend was over. He even participated in a Zoom session with our group of five seniors as we planned our trip. He also helped us at the 11th hour when we added a family member to our travel group less than a month before our trip. Without a doubt, I will reach out to Nate when I'm ready to plan my next trip to Disney World!

We are so thankful we used Nate to plan not only our first Disney trip, but also our second. He made the process so easy for us, especially for us since it was our first time going. There was a lot to consider and many decisions to make, such as where to stay, when to go, and what to experience. Nate really helped us narrow down what we wanted to do overall, but he didn’t stop there. He provided detailed guides to help us navigate the airport and find our transportation to the resort, as well as a guide to explore the resorts and make sure we saw the best Christmas decorations. One of the many amazing things he also did was set up our dinner reservations for us. This saved us so much stress and allowed us to get some of our top choices. From the moment we landed in Orlando to the moment we headed back home, he made sure everything went smoothly. You truly can’t go wrong with going to him for your next trip.

Nathan has been an amazing trip planner for me! So helpful and responsive. I am a very type A person -- so someone who is even more on top of their game than me -- is so so appreciated! Nathan has booked 3 trips for me (1 completed 2 pending) and it was perfection. Thanks again!

Nate has helped us with our vacation planning for the last couple of years and we couldn't be happier with his service and expertise. We've used other travel agents in the past and none of them have done as phenomenal a job to make sure every detail is taken care of as he has. Switching to Nate was one of the best decisions we've ever made. He's always quick to answer questions and works tirelessly to make sure we get everything we want from our trips. Plus, he's just a genuinely great person who is wonderful to work with. Whether you're planning a trip to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, a Disney Cruise, or any other vacation, Nate is the guy you want putting it all together! Five stars across the board!
