Epic Universe Joins the Holidays

The biggest addition for the 2026 season comes at Epic Universe, where guests can experience festive holiday décor throughout Super Nintendo World and How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk.

Celestial Park will also return as a cosmic winter wonderland, featuring twinkling trees and holiday-themed fountain displays at the Cosmos Fountain.

Why This Matters

Epic Universe opened in 2025, which means this is the park’s first full holiday season with dedicated seasonal programming.

That’s a meaningful milestone. Theme parks build seasonal identity over years, and holiday overlays are among the most labor-intensive things a park does — custom décor, seasonal entertainment, and themed food across multiple lands.

Universal committing to holiday programming at Epic Universe in its second year signals confidence in attendance and a willingness to invest in making it a repeat-visit destination rather than a one-time novelty.

Celestial Park is the obvious fit. It’s already a lighting-forward land with fountains and open sightlines. A cosmic winter wonderland theme practically writes itself, and the Cosmos Fountain gives Universal a natural centerpiece.

Grinchmas at Universal Islands of Adventure

The Wizarding World

Holiday traditions return across The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, with seasonal décor and entertainment in Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley, and the Ministry of Magic at Epic Universe.

Guests visiting Hogsmeade can once again enjoy The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle, the nighttime projection spectacular that transforms Hogwarts Castle with scenes inspired by memorable holiday moments from the Harry Potter films.

The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle is one of the strongest holiday offerings in Orlando, full stop. Castle projection mapping works better on Hogwarts than on almost any other structure, and the holiday version has genuine emotional weight for anyone who grew up with the films.

Plan your evening around it. Check show times on arrival and get into Hogsmeade with a clear castle sightline well before showtime.

Grinchmas at Islands of Adventure

At Islands of Adventure, Grinchmas returns to Seuss Landing with the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular, a live stage show based on Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Guests can also:

  • Meet The Grinch
  • Visit the Who-Ville Tree Lot
  • Enjoy additional themed entertainment throughout the land

Grinchmas is the most family-oriented holiday offering at the resort and consistently one of the best-executed. Seuss Landing’s architecture is already whimsical and slightly unhinged, which makes it the ideal canvas for Who-ville.

Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s

Universal Studios Florida will once again host Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s, featuring:

  • Larger-than-life balloons
  • Floats inspired by Illumination’s Despicable Me and DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek and Madagascar
  • Classic holiday characters

The nightly parade concludes with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony led by Santa Claus.

The Macy’s partnership is the genuine differentiator here. These are actual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons, and seeing them at street level in a theme park is a different experience from watching them on television.

The Universal Holiday Tour

Guests looking to enhance their visit can purchase the Universal Holiday Tour, a guided two-and-a-half-hour experience available on select dates from November 14, 2026 through January 2, 2027.

The tour includes:

  • Exclusive meet-and-greets with The Grinch and Max
  • Reserved seating for the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular
  • A meet-and-greet with Santa Claus
  • An optional reserved viewing area for Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s

Pricing starts at $69.99 plus tax, with eligible Universal Orlando Annual and Seasonal Passholders receiving a $10 discount.

At $69.99, this is one of the more reasonably priced guided experiences Universal offers. The reserved parade viewing alone has real value on busy December nights, and the Grinch and Max meet-and-greet is not otherwise available.

Worth it if you’re traveling with young children and the Grinch is a priority. Skip it if you’re flexible on timing and willing to stake out parade positions yourself.

CityWalk and the Hotels

Beyond the parks, the holidays continue at Universal CityWalk, where the popular Green and Red Coconut Club returns with festive décor, seasonal cocktails, and live entertainment.

Universal’s eleven on-site hotels will also celebrate with themed decorations, specialty dining, and holiday activities including:

  • Christmas tree lightings
  • Menorah lighting ceremonies
  • Strolling carolers

Hotel guests continue to receive benefits such as Early Park Admission and complimentary transportation throughout the resort.

The Vacation Deals

Universal Orlando is offering several deals for U.S. residents:

  • Up to 30% off stays of five nights or more at participating hotels
  • Up to $300 in additional savings when booking a vacation package that includes theme park tickets
  • The “Get 2 Days Free with a 3-Day Ticket” offer

Florida residents can purchase a 2-Park Unlimited Days Ticket for $199 plus tax, providing unlimited admission to Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure through December 16, 2026. Additional hotel discounts are also available for Florida residents.

The Florida Resident Ticket Is the Standout

$199 for unlimited two-park admission through December 16 is genuinely strong value for locals.

Do the math: that’s roughly the cost of a single-day two-park ticket. If you go more than twice between now and mid-December, it pays for itself, and it covers the early part of the holiday season.

The December 16 cutoff is the catch. It excludes the peak Christmas-week period, which is when the resort is most crowded and most expensive anyway.

The Bottom Line

The Universal Orlando 2026 holiday celebration runs November 14 through January 3, bringing holiday décor to Epic Universe for the first time across Super Nintendo World, Isle of Berk, and Celestial Park, alongside returning traditions including The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle, Grinchmas, and Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s.

Access is included with theme park admission. The Universal Holiday Tour starts at $69.99 plus tax.

Florida residents should look hard at the $199 2-Park Unlimited ticket through December 16. Universal says additional details will be shared soon.
