If you watch The Traitors, Universal CityWalk just gave you a new reason to grab a drink. Starting September 12, a Traitors: New Blood themed experience at Universal CityWalk Orlando has taken over both bars inside Universal’s Great Movie Escape.
We’re talking specialty cocktails named after the show, new castle-style decor, and costumes worn by host Alan Cumming on display. It’s timed to the new season of The Traitors: New Blood, which premieres September 17 at 8 pm on NBC and streams the next day on Peacock.
The best part? You don’t need to book an escape room to see it. You can walk into either bar any time the venue is open.
I’ll break down both drink menus, what the theming looks like, how long this takeover lasts, and how to fit a visit into your next Universal Orlando trip.
Quick Summary
- What: A limited-time The Traitors: New Blood takeover of both bars inside Universal’s Great Movie Escape
- Where: Universal CityWalk at Universal Orlando Resort
- Started: September 12, 2026
- How long: Runs throughout the season of The Traitors: New Blood
- Bars: The Library and The Roundtable, each with its own themed drink menu
- Extras: Themed decor and costumes worn by host Alan Cumming
- Good to know: You do not need to play an escape game to visit the bars
- Show premiere: September 17 at 8 pm on NBC, streaming the next day on Peacock
What Is The Traitors: New Blood?
The Traitors is a hit reality competition built entirely on deception. Contestants are split into the Faithful and a small group of secret Traitors. Everyone competes for a cash prize, while the Faithful try to figure out who is working against them.
The Traitors: New Blood puts a fresh spin on that format. Instead of celebrities and reality stars, the cast is made up of everyday Americans playing the same game of lies, alliances and betrayal.
If you’re a fan of the castle, the cloaks and the dramatic round table moments, this takeover is built for you.

The Traitors Theming at Universal’s Great Movie Escape
Both bar areas have new decor inspired by the series. From the photos, the look leans hard into the show’s Scottish castle vibe.
Here’s what stands out:
- Hooded cloaks displayed around a round table, just like the show’s most tense scenes
- Costumes worn by host Alan Cumming on display
- A contestant portrait wall with armchairs and plaid throws
- Display windows filled with props like lanterns, shields and old books
- Chandeliers, velvet seating and dark wood that make the bars feel like a castle lounge
It’s a smart use of the space. The bars at Universal’s Great Movie Escape already feel like a hidden hangout, and the Traitors look fits that mood perfectly.
The Library Bar Menu
The Library has its own menu of Traitors specialty drinks. Here’s the full lineup:
- The Raven – A dark, fruity cocktail made with scotch whisky, blackberry whiskey, cassis liqueur, lemon juice and ginger beer, garnished with a blackberry and mint bouquet.
- A Murder in Plain Sight – A sweet, sparkling cocktail made with prosecco, hibiscus syrup and lemon juice, garnished with a lemon peel twist.
- The Castle at Midnight – A rich espresso martini made with vodka, coffee liqueur, chocolate liqueur, espresso and chocolate bitters, garnished with espresso beans.
- The Secret Passage – A bold, smooth, smoky oak cocktail made with bourbon, agave syrup, orange bitters and bourbon barrel-aged aromatic bitters, with an expressed orange peel garnish.
- The Shield – A fizzy mocktail made with apple juice, lemon juice, hibiscus syrup, smoked saline solution and club soda, with a lemon peel garnish.
My pick here is The Castle at Midnight if you want something dessert-like, or The Raven if you like whisky drinks with a fruit edge. The Shield is a nice touch for non-drinkers, since it still gets a smoky twist.
The Roundtable Bar Menu
Over at The Roundtable bar, you’ll find a separate set of drinks:
- The Faithful – Gin, blue curaçao, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, simple syrup and club soda.
- The New Blood – Cherry rum, dark rum, cassis liqueur, cherry liqueur, lime juice, hibiscus syrup and barrel-aged spiced cherry bitters.
- The Traitor – Rye whiskey, red Italian bitter, lemon juice, grenadine, simple syrup and barrel-aged spiced cherry bitters.
- The Dagger – Vodka, green Chartreuse, lime and lychee syrup.
- The Ally – A non-alcoholic drink with lemon juice, club soda, blue curaçao and elderflower syrup.
Here’s a fun move. Order The Faithful and The Traitor side by side with a friend. It’s the most on-theme thing you can do at this bar.
Universal did not publish prices for these drinks. Expect CityWalk specialty cocktail pricing, and check the menu when you arrive.
Do You Need an Escape Room Ticket?
No. Guests are not required to participate in Universal’s Great Movie Escape attractions to visit the bars. You can drop in any time.
That makes this an easy add-on to a park day. CityWalk sits right between Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, so you can stop in on your way out of the parks, before dinner or after a show.
If you do want the full experience, pair your drink with an escape room booking. Just remember that escape games require a separate reservation, and the bars don’t.
How Long Does the Traitors Takeover Last?
This is a limited-time experience. Universal says it will run throughout the season of The Traitors: New Blood.
Universal hasn’t announced an exact end date. My advice: don’t wait until the finale. Limited-time bar menus can change without much notice, and fans of the show will likely pack the bars on big episode nights.
Tips for Visiting
- Go early in the evening. CityWalk bars get busier as the night goes on, especially on weekends.
- Check age rules. Plan on showing ID for alcoholic drinks.
- Bring non-drinkers. The Shield and The Ally mean everyone in your group gets a themed drink.
- Snap photos early. The portrait wall and cloak displays are the best photo spots, and they’re easiest to shoot before crowds fill in.
- Watch the premiere first. The September 17 episode will make the theming hit harder.
The Bottom Line
The Traitors: New Blood themed experience at Universal CityWalk Orlando turns both bars inside Universal’s Great Movie Escape into a castle-style hangout with ten themed drinks, show-inspired decor and costumes worn by Alan Cumming. It started September 12 and runs for the season of the show.
You don’t need an escape room ticket to visit, so it’s an easy stop before or after a park day.
If you’re a Traitors fan, go sooner rather than later. Pick your side, Faithful or Traitor, and order accordingly.
