Shiki-Sai Fireworks Dining Package Comes to EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion

EPCOT has a new fireworks dining package, and this one is in the Japan Pavilion. Disney added the Shiki-Sai Fireworks Dining Package at Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya, pairing a Japanese menu with views of Luminous: The Symphony of Us over World Showcase Lagoon.

Bookings open August 27.

At $120 per adult before tax and gratuity, this is a premium spend. Here’s exactly what you get, what it costs all-in, and whether the view justifies the price.

Be clear-eyed about that gap between the headline number and the real number. The advertised $120 becomes $149.50 once tax and gratuity land. For a family of four with two adults and two kids, you’re looking at roughly $448 all-in.

That’s a significant evening. Whether it’s worth it depends on what you’re actually buying.

What You’re Paying For

Three things, and it helps to separate them.

The food. A multi-course meal with sashimi and an extensive sushi selection at a Disney table service location would run a meaningful portion of $120 on its own. Sushi at this level is not cheap anywhere.

The view. This is the real premium. Guaranteed lagoon-view seating for Luminous means no staking out a spot along the promenade an hour early, no standing, and no jockeying with crowds.

The exclusivity. The dessert and beverages exist only in this package.

If you value the second item highly — and if you’ve ever tried to find a decent Luminous viewing spot on a busy night, you probably do — the math works better than the sticker price suggests.

Is the Japan Pavilion a Good Luminous Viewing Spot?

Yes, and this is the part worth understanding before you book.

Luminous: The Symphony of Us plays out on World Showcase Lagoon with barges positioned around the water. The Japan Pavilion sits on the eastern side of the lagoon, which gives you a solid angle across the water toward the show’s central action.

It’s not the single best geometric position — the areas near the Italy and Germany pavilions and the stretch in front of Spaceship Earth have their advocates — but a guaranteed seated view from Japan beats a standing view from anywhere.

The bigger advantage is that you’re not fighting for it. On a busy night, guests start claiming lagoon-front spots 60 to 90 minutes before showtime. This package eliminates that entirely.

How to Book

Advance reservations are highly recommended for the Shiki-Sai Fireworks Dining Package. Same-day reservations are available on a limited basis, subject to availability.

A few practical notes:

• Book the moment reservations open. Fireworks dining packages at EPCOT fill fast, especially for weekend nights and holiday periods.
• Don’t count on same-day. Disney says limited availability, which in practice means don’t build your evening around it.
• Check your Luminous showtime first. Show times shift seasonally, and your dining time needs to line up.
• Arrive early. Give yourself buffer to get through the Japan Pavilion and be seated without rushing the appetizer course.
• Consider the International Gateway. If you’re staying at an EPCOT-area resort, walking in through the International Gateway puts you much closer to Japan than the main entrance does.

Who Should Book This

Book it if you want a guaranteed seated Luminous view without the wait, you like sushi, and you’re treating one night of your trip as the nice dinner.

Book it if you’re traveling with someone who struggles with standing for long periods. The value of a seat during a crowded nighttime show is easy to underestimate until you need one.

Skip it if you’re feeding a family on a budget. At roughly $448 for two adults and two kids, this is one of the more expensive ways to see Luminous, and the show is free from the promenade.

Skip it if your group is picky about sushi. Sashimi and an extensive sushi selection is a specific menu, and there’s no indication of substantial non-sushi alternatives.

How This Compares

EPCOT already has fireworks dining packages at several World Showcase locations, and Shiki-Sai joins that group rather than replacing anything.

What makes this one distinct is the cuisine. A sushi-forward fireworks package is a different proposition from the steakhouse and Mediterranean options elsewhere around the lagoon, and it gives the Japan Pavilion a premium evening offering it did not previously have.

Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya itself is a relatively recent addition to the Japan Pavilion, and adding a dining package this quickly suggests Disney is happy with how it’s performing.
