What Is the Boo To You Parade?

Mickey’s Boo To You Halloween Parade is the signature nighttime parade of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. It runs exclusively during party hours — not during regular Magic Kingdom operation — and features Disney characters and villains in Halloween-themed costumes, elaborate parade floats, and themed entertainment. The Headless Horseman leads the parade down Main Street U.S.A. to open the procession, which is one of the most dramatic parade openings in any Disney event.

The Headless Horseman: Why It’s Special

The Headless Horseman — a costumed performer on a live horse — opens each Boo To You parade down Main Street, and it’s a genuinely stunning moment. There’s nothing quite like a silent, rearing horse with a headless rider appearing out of the darkness at the top of Main Street. It’s theatrical, slightly eerie, and completely unlike anything else Disney does. If you position yourself near the start of the parade route, catching the Horseman is worth the real estate.

Flag Corps Casting Confirms the Parade

The return is confirmed via a Flag Corps casting notice — Disney is actively recruiting performers for this year’s parade production. The Flag Corps is the marching element that accompanies the parade, carrying themed flags and banners. Their casting means the full parade production is being assembled for fall 2026.

When and How to Watch

The Boo To You Parade runs twice per MNSSHP night — typically around 9:15pm and 11:15pm. The second showing draws smaller crowds as the night progresses, which gives you better parade-watching real estate if you’re willing to wait. If you want the Headless Horseman shot without a crowd six people deep in front of you, the late parade is your best bet.

Could not have wanted or expected more from Nate, our Distrips and More agent as we planned our 2025 Disney World trip.
