Soft Opening Previews of Epic Universe

Hey Universal Vacationer! Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe theme park is gearing up for its grand debut, and while May 22, 2025, marks the official opening date, Universal is giving a special treat to their most loyal guests: Annual Passholders. Before the grand opening, Annual Passholders will have access to exclusive soft opening previews of Epic Universe. Universal Orlando plans to share more details about these previews in the coming months, offering fans a sneak peek at the new attractions before anyone else.

Epic Universe Annual Passholder Previews

Here’s the official statement from Universal Orlando about the upcoming soft opening, with some key details highlighted:

Universal Orlando’s fourth amazing theme park opens in 2025. Starting October 24, Passholders have the special opportunity to purchase single-day admission* to Universal Epic Universe before single-day tickets go on sale to the general public. Link your Pass to your Universal Account Wallet for the easiest way to purchase. Additional ticket products will be available at a later date. Plus, look for information regarding Passholder soft opening opportunities in the coming months! – Universal Orlando statement

What to Expect from the Soft Opening

Although exact details are still under wraps, it’s expected that Universal will roll out a series of previews leading up to the official opening. This typically includes exclusive access for both Annual Passholders and Team Members, with the latter likely having the earliest previews to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Many anticipate that Universal will prioritize these preview opportunities based on the tier of each Annual Pass. That means Passholders with higher-tier passes might receive earlier access or have a better chance of snagging a spot during the previews.

Additionally, Universal hints at these early access opportunities in another part of their website, stating:

“Tickets may be available to select audiences prior to May 22, 2025 opening date.”

How Passholders Can Secure a Spot at Epic Universe

If you’re an Annual Passholder eagerly anticipating a chance to explore Epic Universe before the crowds, here’s what you need to know: Universal has announced that starting October 24th, Passholders can purchase single-day tickets for the new theme park before they are available to the general public. While multi-day tickets and vacation packages are already on sale, Passholders get a head start on the single-day options.

However, it’s important to note that these single-day tickets are considered “add-on” tickets, meaning they must be linked to an existing Annual Pass. They are not standalone tickets. So, if you’re planning a special preview day, make sure your Annual Pass is active and linked to your Universal account.

The Future of Annual Passes at Epic Universe

One common question among Passholders is whether Universal Orlando will offer an Annual Pass that includes access to Epic Universe. Currently, no such pass is available. But Universal has confirmed that a new Annual Pass with Epic Universe access will be introduced in the future. More details about these new pass options are expected to be revealed as the opening date draws closer.

Why This Matters

The announcement of the Epic Universe soft opening is a big deal for die-hard Universal Orlando fans. It means that Annual Passholders can experience the park’s attractions and atmosphere before the official crowds arrive. Soft openings not only offer exclusive access but also give guests a chance to share feedback with Universal, helping the park fine-tune the guest experience before the grand opening.

Keep an eye out for more announcements from Universal Orlando about these soft opening opportunities, and make sure you’re ready to secure your spot when the time comes. Epic Universe promises to be an unforgettable addition to Universal Orlando’s lineup, and as a Passholder, you don’t want to miss the chance to be among the first to explore it!

I’m no stranger to Disney planning, as a Disneyland magic key holder and DVC member. I’m the person people ask for trip planning advice. But I had never been on a Disney cruise, and had heard great about Nate and decided to reach out. I’m so glad I did because we could not have been happier with our experience. His tips and insights were incredibly helpful, and he was incredibly responsive any time we had a question. Who do the Disney experts turn to when they need help? Nate, that’s who. We’ll definitely be using him again.

Our experience working with Nate as our Disney vacation planner was exceptional. He was responsive and thorough. He gave us insights that made the trip go much more smoothly. We were able to really relax and focus on quality time as a family and have so much fun doing it! I will definitely reach out for any future trips.

Could not have wanted or expected more from Nate, our Distrips and More agent as we planned our 2025 Disney World trip. Nate was VERY responsive to emails and texts and more than willing to do whatever he could to guide us and answer our questions. On several occasions I emailed him over the weekend not expecting a response until Monday but each time he responded before the weekend was over. He even participated in a Zoom session with our group of five seniors as we planned our trip. He also helped us at the 11th hour when we added a family member to our travel group less than a month before our trip. Without a doubt, I will reach out to Nate when I'm ready to plan my next trip to Disney World!

We are so thankful we used Nate to plan not only our first Disney trip, but also our second. He made the process so easy for us, especially for us since it was our first time going. There was a lot to consider and many decisions to make, such as where to stay, when to go, and what to experience. Nate really helped us narrow down what we wanted to do overall, but he didn’t stop there. He provided detailed guides to help us navigate the airport and find our transportation to the resort, as well as a guide to explore the resorts and make sure we saw the best Christmas decorations. One of the many amazing things he also did was set up our dinner reservations for us. This saved us so much stress and allowed us to get some of our top choices. From the moment we landed in Orlando to the moment we headed back home, he made sure everything went smoothly. You truly can’t go wrong with going to him for your next trip.

Nathan has been an amazing trip planner for me! So helpful and responsive. I am a very type A person -- so someone who is even more on top of their game than me -- is so so appreciated! Nathan has booked 3 trips for me (1 completed 2 pending) and it was perfection. Thanks again!

Nate has helped us with our vacation planning for the last couple of years and we couldn't be happier with his service and expertise. We've used other travel agents in the past and none of them have done as phenomenal a job to make sure every detail is taken care of as he has. Switching to Nate was one of the best decisions we've ever made. He's always quick to answer questions and works tirelessly to make sure we get everything we want from our trips. Plus, he's just a genuinely great person who is wonderful to work with. Whether you're planning a trip to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, a Disney Cruise, or any other vacation, Nate is the guy you want putting it all together! Five stars across the board!
