Hey Disney Vacationers! If you’re the kind of Disney fan who roots for the bad guys, buckle up—Disney’s Villains: Unfairly Ever After show is coming soon to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and we just got a sneak peek inside.
Disney Live Entertainment dropped the first behind-the-scenes look at the new production inside the Sunset Showcase building. This is the same space that once hosted Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, and before that, it’s been a flex space for other short-run events. But now, it’s getting a full villain makeover—and it’s looking wild.
What Is Disney’s Villains: Unfairly Ever After Show?
This new stage show puts the spotlight on some of Disney’s most iconic villains. But instead of being the side characters in someone else’s story, the villains are finally telling theirs.
The setup is simple: The Magic Mirror is your host, and it’s calling the shots. Think of it as a game show meets villain therapy session. The question on everyone’s mind? Which Disney villain has been treated the most unfairly of all?
Inside the New Stage
Disney Live Entertainment shared a short video showing crews working on the space. One clip shows a massive mirror being lifted and installed over the center of the stage. That’s the Magic Mirror, and it’s the central storytelling piece in this show.
Guests will see different Disney villains appear in the mirrors—some animated on screen, others breaking through and appearing live on stage. The concept art teases a mix of digital magic and in-person drama. Think smoke, lights, entrances, exits, and unexpected face-to-face moments with the most feared characters in Disney history.
It’s immersive. It’s interactive. And it’s all about giving villains a voice.
How It Compares to Villains Game Night on Disney Cruise Line
If you’ve been on the Disney Treasure, you might’ve seen the Villains Game Night show. It’s a fun take where villains show up on screen and the host interacts with them in a gameboard-style format.
But Disney’s Villains: Unfairly Ever After show is going bigger. Instead of a single host on stage talking to screen-based characters, we’ll get live villain performers interacting with the Magic Mirror and the audience. It’s more intense, more theatrical, and built for a theme park crowd.
Where to See It
The show will debut at the Sunset Showcase in Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 27, 2025. If you’ve walked past that corner of the park and wondered what was happening inside—this is it.
Final Thoughts
If you’re planning a trip to Walt Disney World and love a good villain moment, keep your eye on this one. Disney’s Villains: Unfairly Ever After show looks like it’s going to flip the script and give the baddies their moment in the spotlight.
It’s fresh. It’s bold. And honestly? It’s about time.
