First Look: Disney’s Shadows of Memory Projection Show and Luke Skywalker

This isn’t just another nighttime experience. This is a full-on, limited-time tribute to the Skywalker legacy—Anakin, Luke, Leia, all of it—playing out with jaw-dropping visuals and music that hits you right in the feels.

What Is the Shadows of Memory Projection Show?

The Shadows of Memory projection show is Disney’s newest entertainment offering during Season of the Force, running from March 28 through May 11, 2025, at Disneyland.

Here’s what you’re getting:

• Projection mapping on the spires of Batuu near the Millennium Falcon
• Iconic scenes and characters from across the Skywalker saga

This is the first time the classic-era version of Luke—yes, Jedi robes and all—has appeared in this land.

• Only be part of Season of the Force

How Long Will It Last?

Both the Shadows of Memory projection show and the Luke Skywalker character appearance are exclusive to the Season of the Force event. As of now, Disney says these will run through May 11, 2025.

But let’s be real: Disney might extend the show. They haven’t confirmed anything yet, but it’s clear fans are already hyped.

No word yet on whether Shadows of Memory or the Luke Skywalker meet and greet will make it to Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World. If it does, expect massive crowds—especially if they put it near the Falcon in Florida.
