Hey Universal Vacationers! Universal Orlando is bringing back Volcano Bay Nights this fall, and if you missed the first one earlier this year, now’s your chance to dive in. This is only the second-ever after-hours event at Universal’s tropical water park, and it’s packed with exclusive access, entertainment, and food you won’t get during the day.

This year’s fall Universal Volcano Bay Nights will run on select Thursdays in September and October:

What to Expect at Volcano Bay Nights
While Universal has not released new details yet, the first-ever Volcano Bay Nights in spring 2025 gives us a good look at what the event can offer. Here’s what guests enjoyed during that debut:
Ride Iconic Attractions in the Dark
Taking on Volcano Bay’s biggest slides after sunset adds a whole new level of thrill. Highlights from the spring event included:
- Krakatau Aqua Coaster – Race through the park’s iconic volcano in near darkness.
- Ko’okiri Body Plunge – A 70-degree drop straight through a trap door.
- Kala and Tai Nui Serpentine Body Slides – Twisting body slides lit only by the park’s nighttime glow.
Live Entertainment & Beachside Fun
The energy at Waturi Beach kicked up at night with a live DJ, dancing, and games like limbo and hula hoop contests — all with that laid-back island party vibe.
DreamWorks Character Meet-and-Greets
Families met some of DreamWorks’ biggest stars, including:
- Shrek and Fiona
- Puss in Boots and Kitty Soft Paws
- King Julien and Alex from Madagascar
- Poppy, Branch, and Guy Diamond from Trolls
Complimentary Island Treats & Refreshments
Guests at the spring event enjoyed free snacks like Spicy Island Shrimp and Cheesy Cliffside Seashell Pasta, plus a complimentary Volcano Bay Freestyle Souvenir Cup for unlimited Coca-Cola® beverage refills.

- Entry Time: Arrive as early as 4:00 p.m. before the exclusive event begins at 7:00 p.m.

For extra comfort, guests can rent a private cabana starting at $249.99. These are available on a first come, first served basis and must be booked in-park at the concierge huts the day of the event.
