Hey Disney Vacationers! If you’re a Disney Vacation Club Member, you know Disney doesn’t just do vacations—they do experiences. And last summer, they gave us something new: DVC Welcome Home Weeks. It was a hit. So much so that they’re bringing it back—and this time, it’s even better.
From August 14 through September 16, 2025, Disney Vacation Club Members can look forward to a multi-resort celebration packed with exclusive events, tasty perks, and deep discounts. Whether you’re staying at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Aulani, or one of the beach resorts, there’s something extra waiting for you.
Let’s take a closer look at everything included in the 2025 DVC Welcome Home Weeks.

This summary is your cheat sheet. But if you’re anything like me, you’re here for the details—so let’s dive in.
Sweet Stop: Free Ice Cream at Select Locations
Yes, you read that right—free Mickey bars are back. During Welcome Home Weeks, eligible Members can treat themselves to a complimentary Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar, fruit bar, or ice cream sandwich at select locations across the resorts.
These treats are available on specific days at each park or resort, so it’s worth planning around. Whether you’re exploring Magic Kingdom or lounging at Hilton Head, a cold treat is just part of the fun. It’s a small gesture, but it’s one that feels big when you’re stepping out of the Florida heat.
Welcome Home Wakeup: Morning Coffee & Treats
There’s something special about early mornings at a Disney Resort. During Welcome Home Weeks, Members can enjoy a laid-back start to the day with coffee and morning snacks at a few select resorts.
This is a great way to meet fellow Members, chat with DVC Cast Members, and just take in the calm before the park hustle starts. If you’ve never been up to Top of the World Lounge for coffee, trust me—it’s worth it for the view alone.
Character Experiences: Meet & Greet Magic
Disney’s bringing out some of your favorite characters for exclusive Member-only meet and greets—and these aren’t the standard meetups.
These events happen at different locations depending on your resort, and they’re a great chance to grab unique photos without the long lines. If you’re visiting during these dates, carve out time for it. You won’t regret it, especially if you’ve got kids—or you’re a kid at heart.
Dining Deal: 40% Off Table-Service Restaurants
This is one of the most valuable benefits in the entire lineup. 40% off select Table-Service restaurants across Walt Disney World is no joke.
If you’ve ever wanted to try Toledo, Tiffins, or Coral Reef without worrying about your wallet, this is your window. It’s available Monday through Thursday, and only for certain meal periods, but this kind of discount is rare—and definitely worth planning around. Reservations are still recommended.
Disneyland Mobile Order Discount
If you’re headed to Disneyland, there’s a special offer just for you. Members can use the Disneyland app to place a mobile order and get 20% off one purchase.
It’s a one-time-use discount, but it’s perfect for lunch at Galactic Grill or a snack run in Avengers Campus. Keep an eye out for the promo code and instructions in early August.
Welcome Home Wine Mixer
This one’s for the grown-ups. These mixers offer complimentary wine, appetizers, and live music, all in an upscale resort setting.
Whether you’re chatting with other Members or just enjoying a glass of red as the sun sets over Aulani or the Grand Californian, this is a vibe. It’s limited space, so make sure you pre-register. These events always fill up.
Complimentary Movie Snacks: Popcorn & Candy
For movie lovers, Disney is adding a little magic to your screening experience. During Welcome Home Weeks, DVC Members can enjoy complimentary snacks while watching movies—whether on land or at sea.
At Walt Disney World, enjoy a selection of free candy during Movies Under the Stars at participating resorts like Animal Kingdom Lodge, Beach Club, Polynesian, Old Key West, and more. These screenings are already a chill way to end the day, and now there’s sugar involved. Win-win.
If you’re cruising with Disney Cruise Line during this time, you’ll also get free popcorn outside the Walt Disney Theatre, Buena Vista Theater, or Never Land Cinema. Just show your Digital Membership Card and ID. Keep in mind: specialty buckets and live shows aren’t included—this is strictly movie night magic.
Screening of “Disney ‘80s–‘90s Celebration in Concert”
This one’s still a bit of a mystery, but here’s what we know: Disney is planning a special concert film screening featuring hits from the 1980s and 1990s.
It’s called Disney ‘80s–‘90s Celebration in Concert and will spotlight stage and screen performers singing the iconic music of that era. Dates, times, and location are still to come—but if you’re a fan of Disney nostalgia, this is one to watch for.

Donut & Freebies: Donuts, Magnets, and More
Disney knows how to do swag right. This year, you can pick up:
- A free reusable shopping bag from select Welcome Home Centers
- A Welcome Home Weeks button at lounges and desks across resorts
- And an exclusive magnet that’s being mailed out with the summer edition of Disney Files Magazine
None of it costs you a thing—it’s just Disney’s way of saying “thanks for being part of the club.”
Aulani-Only Experiences
If you’re staying at Aulani, don’t miss these culture-rich activities just for DVC Members:
- Hawaiian Art Experience – Learn traditional kapa stamping and basic Hawaiian language.
- Cultural Experience – Try your hand at lei-making or join a hula lesson with local experts.
They’re hands-on, engaging, and exactly what makes Aulani feel more than just a beach vacation. Space is limited, so swing by Hoku Hideaway to reserve your spot.
Palm Breeze Bar Bonus at Disneyland
For two afternoons during Welcome Home Weeks, Disneyland hotel guests can head to Palm Breeze Bar and enjoy a complimentary appetizer when they order a specialty drink.
This one’s low-key but a great excuse to take a break, enjoy the ambiance, and maybe discover a new favorite cocktail or mocktail.
Eligibility Reminder
Before you start circling every date on your calendar, let’s get the basics out of the way.
To take part in 2025 DVC Welcome Home Weeks, you must:
- Be eligible for Membership Extras
- Have a valid reservation at the participating resort on the day of the event
- Present a Digital Membership Card and photo ID
- Be present yourself (you can’t send a friend or family member without you)
You can typically bring up to 4 Guests, or the number of people listed on your reservation. Check your eligibility and DVC status in your Member Dashboard.
Final Thoughts
I’ve been a DVC Member long enough to remember when perks like this felt rare. That’s changed—and 2025 DVC Welcome Home Weeks is proof.
It’s not just about the freebies or the discounts. It’s about Disney acknowledging the people who come back, year after year, resort after resort. It’s about giving us a little extra magic just for being part of the club.
So if you’re planning a trip for late summer, this is your sign to book those dates. Look at the calendar, pick the perks that matter most to you, and make it part of your trip.
Because DVC isn’t just a timeshare. It’s a community. And during Welcome Home Weeks, that community really shines.
