Slated to start voyages by early 2029, this initiative is part of Disney’s expansion plan which includes three new ships, with the Japan-based vessel being a sister ship to the beloved Disney Wish and similar class as the upcoming Disney Treasure.

Design and Construction

Crafted with love and magic, the new ship will be built at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. Walt Disney Imagineering is behind the imaginative designs, ensuring every corner of the ship is sprinkled with Disney’s touch. The ship will feature familiar guest-favorite venues and experiences from Disney Wish, along with special modifications designed to delight Japanese guests.

Specifications

This floating palace will span approximately 140,000 gross tons and will be powered by environmentally friendlier liquefied natural gas. With about 1,250 staterooms, it’s designed to offer cozy and luxurious accommodations for guests.

Could not have wanted or expected more from Nate, our Distrips and More agent as we planned our 2025 Disney World trip. Nate was VERY responsive to emails and texts and more than willing to do whatever he could to guide us and answer our questions. We are so thankful we used Nate to plan not only our first Disney trip, but also our second. He made the process so easy for us, especially for us since it was our first time going.
