Planning your trip to D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event 2026? Disney has just released the essential logistics details — show hours, entry procedures, Honda Center bag policies, and how the reservation system works. Here’s everything you need to know before you go.
D23 2026 Convention Center Hours
The Anaheim Convention Center will be open 9am–8pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (August 14–16). If you have an Afternoon Only pass, your entry window is 4pm–8pm on your chosen day.
Overnight queuing is not permitted. Exact entry queue start times and arrival instructions will be shared in the weeks leading up to the event. Security screening — including bag check and metal detection — is in place at all entrances, so plan to arrive with extra time built into your schedule.
Honda Center Show Times
The three Honda Center presentations each have set start times — and there’s one important note for Sunday:
- Friday, August 14 at 7pm — Disney Entertainment Showcase
- Saturday, August 15 at 7pm — Disney Experiences Showcase
- Sunday, August 16 at 1:30pm — Disney Legends Ceremony
Note that the Disney Legends Ceremony has an earlier 1:30pm start — not 7pm like the other two. Doors open two hours before each presentation, and Disney recommends departing for the Honda Center at least 90 minutes before show time to account for security screening lines.
Remember: Honda Center access is only for D23 Ultimate Fan Pass and D23 Ultimate Preferred Fan Pass holders. There are no reservations or standby queues for Honda Center presentations — your pass is your ticket in.
Honda Center Bag Policy
The Honda Center enforces a strict no-bag policy — and this is one you’ll really want to plan around. Here’s what’s allowed:
- Standard bags: Maximum 5″ x 9″ x 2″
- Medical and diaper bags: Maximum 12″ x 12″ x 12″
- Backpacks of any size — including mini backpacks — are NOT permitted under any circumstances. This applies even if the bag is clear.
This is stricter than typical theme park bag policies, so plan your packing strategy accordingly before heading over for the showcase presentations. Check the Event Policies page for the full list of prohibited items.
How D23 Reservations Work (RSP System)
Getting into panels and experiences at the Anaheim Convention Center uses a Reservation Random Selection Process (RSP). Here’s the timeline:
- July 20, 12pm PT — RSP selection opens. You’ll choose and rank your preferred presentations and experiences.
- July 24, 12pm PT — RSP selection closes.
- August 7 — Reservations are assigned and confirmed via email. Allow a few days to receive your email after this date.
You can make reservation selections for up to six guests total (yourself plus five others) for most shows and presentations. Additional details on available presentations and experiences will be released closer to the event opening.
What If You Don’t Get a Reservation?
Not all guests will receive reservations through the RSP — but don’t worry, there are still ways in. Standby queues will be available onsite for:
- Anaheim Convention Center Event Stages
- Talent Central
- Most Show Floor Experiences
A Few Important Reservation Notes
Before you finalize your plans, keep these in mind: A valid, activated D23 event badge is required to check in for any reservation. Guests under 18 cannot make reservations themselves, but can attend as a designated guest with an adult. All reservations are subject to change or cancellation without notice. And you can only be assigned one reservation per time slot, so think carefully about your priorities when making selections in July.
D23 2026 runs August 14–16 in Anaheim — tickets go on sale April 2 for D23 Gold Members. Stay tuned to DisMornings for all the latest updates as we get closer to the big event!
