There is a new store at Disney Springs, and it is a bigger deal for the brand than it sounds. Cole Haan is now open at Disney Springs Town Center, and this location is the global debut of the company’s newest lifestyle store concept.
Not a new outpost of an existing format. The first one, anywhere.
It has taken over the former Johnston & Murphy space and runs daily from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm. Here is what is inside, including a fitting feature you will not find at most shoe stores.
Quick Summary
- Cole Haan is now open at Disney Springs Town Center
- It occupies the former Johnston & Murphy space
- Hours are 10:00 am to 11:00 pm daily
- This is the global debut of Cole Haan’s newest lifestyle store concept
- It is also the brand’s only Central Florida flagship
- The store features 3D foot scanning technology for personalized fittings
The Global Debut Angle
This is the part worth pausing on.
Disney Springs gets new stores regularly, and most are additional locations for brands that already have plenty. Cole Haan chose this address to launch a store concept that does not exist anywhere else yet.
It is also the brand’s only Central Florida flagship.
That tells you something about how retailers now view Disney Springs — not as a mall inside a theme park resort, but as a venue worth launching a format in. Foot traffic there is enormous and skews toward people in a spending mood.
The 3D Foot Scanning
The standout feature is 3D foot scanning technology, which delivers a personalized shoe fitting experience.
Disney’s framing is that it is designed to show off the comfort built into Cole Haan’s footwear line, which is fair enough as marketing. The practical version is more interesting.
If you are at Walt Disney World, you are walking somewhere between eight and fifteen miles a day. A proper fitting is genuinely useful in a way it would not be at a suburban mall — and it is free to try whether or not you buy.
That makes this one of the few Disney Springs stores with a reason to walk in beyond browsing.
Where to Find It
The store is at Disney Springs Town Center, near Columbia and Tommy Bahama.
Town Center is the open-air retail section on the Orange Garage side, so if you are parking there you will pass it on the way in rather than having to cross the whole complex.
What Cole Haan Actually Sells
For anyone unfamiliar: Cole Haan is an American lifestyle brand selling footwear and accessories, available in more than 100 countries.
The brand sits in the middle-to-upper price bracket — more than a mall sneaker brand, below designer. Expect dress shoes, casual sneakers, boots, and leather accessories.
Is It Worth Your Time
Here is the honest read, because a shoe store is not why anyone books a Disney trip.
Go if your feet are already hurting. Mid-trip is exactly when a comfortable pair of shoes stops being a purchase and starts being a rescue, and the scanning tech makes getting the right fit faster than guessing.
Go if you are curious about the new concept. Being first to see a format that will roll out elsewhere is a small thing, but it is a real one.
Skip it if you are on a tight Disney Springs schedule. There is nothing Disney-exclusive here. It is a very good shoe store that happens to be at Disney Springs, not a Disney shopping experience.
Worth knowing: the 11:00 pm close is late by retail standards and matches Disney Springs hours. If you are eating dinner there, the store will still be open afterward.
What This Says About Town Center
A pattern is worth noting. Johnston & Murphy left, Cole Haan moved in — a like-for-like swap in the footwear category rather than a change in what Town Center is.
Disney Springs has been steady about keeping that section weighted toward recognizable national brands rather than Disney-specific retail, which lives mostly in the Marketplace. If you are planning a shopping trip, that split is the useful thing to know: Town Center for brands, Marketplace for Disney.
Shoes Are the Underrated Disney Purchase
One more reason this store is more relevant than a shoe shop normally would be.
Most people underestimate how much walking a Disney World day involves. Between park hopping, resort transportation, and the distance from a parking space to a turnstile, eight to fifteen miles a day is normal rather than exceptional.
Shoes that were fine for a workday are frequently not fine for that. Day three is when people discover the difference, and by then the trip is already uncomfortable.
Buying replacement footwear mid-trip is not an elegant plan, but it beats finishing a vacation in pain. Having a properly fitted option at Disney Springs, open until 11:00 pm, is genuinely more useful than it sounds.
One caution: breaking in new shoes during a high-mileage trip can cause its own problems. If you buy mid-trip, look for something cushioned and forgiving rather than structured leather you will need a week to wear in.
The Bottom Line
Cole Haan is open now at Disney Springs Town Center in the former Johnston & Murphy space, running 10:00 am to 11:00 pm daily, near Columbia and Tommy Bahama.
It is the global debut of the brand’s newest lifestyle store concept and its only Central Florida flagship, with 3D foot scanning for personalized fittings.
If your shoes are not working out three days into a trip, this is a genuinely useful stop. If you are shopping for something only Disney sells, head to the Marketplace instead.
