Starting September 29th, 2024, you’ll have the chance to meet none other than Star-Lord himself at EPCOT. If you’re like me and love the Guardians of the Galaxy, this is an experience you won’t want to miss. Here’s everything we know so far, plus a little walk down memory lane to catch you up on Star-Lord’s previous Disney appearances. Let’s dig into the new Star-Lord meet and greet at EPCOT!
When Does the Star-Lord Meet and Greet Start?
Mark your calendars for September 29th, 2024! That’s the official date Disney announced for when you’ll finally be able to come face-to-face with Star-Lord at EPCOT. Whether you’re a die-hard Marvel fan or just love Chris Pratt’s portrayal, this meet and greet is going to be one of the hottest tickets in the park.
Where Can You Meet Star-Lord in EPCOT?
Now here’s the kicker—Disney hasn’t confirmed the exact location yet. Mysterious, right? They did release a teaser video announcing Star-Lord’s return, but no word on where this meet and greet will go down. My best guess? Somewhere near Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in World Discovery. It makes sense since it’s the Guardians’ stomping ground in EPCOT, and it’s where a lot of the Marvel magic is already happening. Keep your eyes peeled for updates!
Star-Lord’s Disney History
This isn’t Star-Lord’s first time popping up at Walt Disney World, and if you’ve been following his appearances, you know he’s made some pretty cool stops over the years.
- Hollywood Studios: Star-Lord previously had a meet and greet at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, right alongside Baby Groot. It was one of those rare chances to get some quality face time with these Guardians.
- runDisney Events: If you’re a runner, you might have been lucky enough to snap a pic with Star-Lord and Gamora in front of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind during select runDisney races. They’ve been known to show up and cheer on racers, adding an extra sprinkle of awesomeness to your race experience.
Star-Lord in EPCOT Shows
But wait, there’s more! Star-Lord’s been part of another EPCOT experience, too. If you were around during the summers of 2018 and 2019, you might’ve caught the Guardians of the Galaxy – Awesome Mix Live show at the American Gardens Theater in World Showcase. The show featured Star-Lord and Gamora jamming out to some classic 80s hits, with a live band backing them up. It was a total blast and gave fans a different way to connect with the Guardians.
