Savor the Spirit of Hakuna Matata

True fans of “The Lion King” know that it’s more than just a movie—it’s a feeling, a spirit, particularly one of hakuna matata (no worries). Embrace this carefree joy as you indulge in a range of limited-time culinary creations across the park. Each delicacy is inspired by the iconic characters from the film, including Simba, Timon, Rafiki, and Zazu, with a focus on turning familiar flavors into magical experiences.

Discovery Island Delights

Your flavorful journey begins at Discovery Island, where The Lion King 30th anniversary treats treats await. Quench your thirst with The Simba at Eight Spoon Café, a mango-flavored slushy enhanced with grenadine and topped with gummy candies—perfect for a sweet, tropical refreshment. For a unique dessert experience, don’t miss Timon’s Luau at Isle of Java. This layered delight features vanilla chiffon, passion fruit curd, guava jam, and vanilla chantilly cream, finished with an edible flower and mint to represent Timon’s hula skirt.

Before you venture further, make a stop at Tiffins Restaurant for Rafiki’s Squash Banana, a shake that blends the exotic flavors of squash bananas, baobab fruit, vanilla, cinnamon, and cardamom into a creamy, dreamy concoction. Could not have wanted or expected more from Nate, our Distrips and More agent as we planned our 2025 Disney World trip. Nate was VERY responsive to emails and texts and more than willing to do whatever he could to guide us and answer our questions.  On several occasions I emailed him over the weekend not expecting a response until Monday but each time he responded before the weekend was over. We are so thankful we used Nate to plan not only our first Disney trip, but also our second. He made the process so easy for us, especially for us since it was our first time going.
