If watching Impressions de France in the France pavilion is part of your EPCOT routine, your timing is about to matter a lot more. Starting January 1, 2027, the Impressions de France schedule at EPCOT drops its evening showings completely. The film will play only during a 30-minute morning window, from 9:00am to 9:30am.
Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along isn’t changing. The two shows share the same theater, and Disney is keeping the sing-along’s daytime block exactly as it is.
That’s a big shift for a film that has been part of EPCOT since the park opened in 1982. If you want an evening showing, you have until December 31, 2026. After that, you’ll need to head to World Showcase right after park opening. Here’s the full schedule change, the marathon weekend dates to watch out for, and how to work this into your plan.
Quick Summary
- Impressions de France drops its 7:00pm to 8:45pm evening showings starting January 1, 2027
- The new schedule is mornings only, from 9:00am to 9:30am
- Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along stays the same, from 10:00am to 6:30pm
- Evening showings of Impressions de France are available through December 31, 2026
- On January 7, 9, and 10, 2027, Impressions de France has no showings listed because of runDisney Marathon Weekend
- Disney has published hours only through January 12, 2027, so the evening block could still return
The Impressions de France Schedule at EPCOT: Before and After
Both shows run in the Palais du Cinéma in the France pavilion, and Disney splits the day between them. Here’s how that split changes.
Current Schedule (Through December 31, 2026)
- Impressions de France: 9:00am to 9:30am and 7:00pm to 8:45pm
- Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along: 10:00am to 6:30pm
New Schedule (From January 1, 2027)
- Impressions de France: 9:00am to 9:30am only
- Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along: 10:00am to 6:30pm
The entire 7:00pm to 8:45pm block for Impressions de France is gone. The sing-along keeps its full daytime run.
Why This Change Hits Harder Than It Looks
On paper, this looks like a small trim. In practice, it changes who can realistically see the film.
The evening block was the easy option. World Showcase is at its best in the evening, and catching an 18-minute film in an air-conditioned theater before fireworks was a natural fit for a lot of guests.
The morning window is a different story. EPCOT usually opens at 9:00am, and the France pavilion sits deep in World Showcase. Most guests spend the first hours of the day in the front of the park, riding Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Test Track, or Frozen Ever After. Walking all the way back to France in the first 30 minutes means giving up some of the most valuable time of your day.
So unless you plan for it, it’s easy to miss Impressions de France entirely in 2027.
Marathon Weekend Changes in January 2027
There’s one more wrinkle. On January 7, 9, and 10, 2027, EPCOT opens late at 10:00am for the runDisney Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend events. On those days:
- Impressions de France has no showings listed
- Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along starts at 11:00am instead of 10:00am
If you’re visiting EPCOT during marathon weekend, you won’t be able to see Impressions de France on those three days.
Could the Evening Showings Come Back?
Possibly. Disney has published hours for both shows through January 12, 2027. Dates after that are blank for now.
Disney sometimes loads hours in pieces, so the evening block could be added back later. Right now, though, the data shows only a morning window starting January 1. I’d plan around the morning schedule and treat anything else as a bonus.
A Quick Refresher on Impressions de France
If you’ve never seen it, Impressions de France is one of the classic EPCOT films. It has played at the park since opening day in 1982.
Here’s what makes it special:
- Runtime: About 18 minutes
- Format: Five adjacent screens that wrap around you in a 200-degree view
- Content: French landscapes, architecture, and culture set to classical music
- Score: Arrangements by Buddy Baker built on French composers like Debussy, Saint-Saëns, Offenbach, and Satie
The film got a 4K upgrade in 2020, and Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along joined the same theater that year. Both films most recently reopened in May 2026 after a refurbishment, with the same split schedule that’s in place now.
How to Plan for the New Schedule
Here’s how I’d handle this if Impressions de France is on your list:
- See it before January 1 if you can. If your trip is in November or December, an evening showing is the easiest way to fit it in.
- Make it your first stop in 2027. Arrive at rope drop, head straight back to World Showcase, and grab the 9:00am window.
- Pair it with a France breakfast. Les Halles Boulangerie-Pâtisserie is right there, and pastries in the France pavilion is a great way to start a morning.
- Skip marathon weekend days. If seeing the film matters to you, avoid January 7, 9, and 10.
- Check the app before you go. Hours past January 12 aren’t loaded yet, so confirm the schedule in My Disney Experience closer to your trip.
The Bottom Line
The new Impressions de France schedule at EPCOT cuts the film down to a single morning window, 9:00am to 9:30am, starting January 1, 2027. Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along stays put, and marathon weekend wipes out Impressions de France entirely on January 7, 9, and 10.
If you love this film, catch an evening showing before December 31 or build your 2027 EPCOT morning around it. It’s one of the park’s original treasures, and it’s worth the walk to France. We’ll keep an eye on Disney’s schedule and let you know if the evening showings come back.
