Now you know exactly how long the skippers will be telling holiday puns. 2026 Jingle Cruise runs from Tuesday, November 3, 2026, through Sunday, January 4, 2027, at Magic Kingdom, and the standard Jungle Cruise returns on Monday, January 5, 2027.
When we first reported that Jingle Cruise returns to Magic Kingdom November 3, the end date hadn’t been confirmed. Now the full window is set, giving you just over two months to ride the holiday version.

What’s New Since Our Last Update
Our earlier post confirmed the November 3 start date. What’s new is the end date. Jingle Cruise now officially wraps up on January 4, 2027, and the overlay is gone the next morning. That matters if you’re visiting in early January, since a trip that starts on January 5 will miss it completely.

What to Expect on Jingle Cruise
The skippers “celebrate the holidays in the jungle,” and the attraction changes to match. You’ll find:
- Holiday decorations in the queue and on the ride
- Pun-filled holiday narration from the skippers
- Presents floating in the river
- Signs of the crew’s makeshift Christmas celebration throughout the ride
The bones of the attraction stay the same, but the story shifts. The skippers are stuck deep in the jungle for the holidays, and they’re celebrating anyway with whatever they can find. If you’ve ridden Jungle Cruise a dozen times, this is the reason to ride it again.
When to Ride
If your Walt Disney World trip falls between early November and the first weekend of January, Jingle Cruise will be running during your visit. Plan your Magic Kingdom day with the January 4 end date in mind.
Jingle Cruise also starts before the rest of the holiday season really gets going. It opens five days before the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party night on November 8, so early November visitors get a taste of the holidays before the biggest crowds arrive.
Magic Kingdom Holiday Calendar at a Glance
Jingle Cruise is the first holiday change to arrive at Magic Kingdom this season. Here’s how it lines up with the other big dates:
- November 3: Jingle Cruise begins in Adventureland.
- November 8: Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party opens its season, and Frozen Holiday Surprise returns to Cinderella Castle with a nightly 6:15 pm show.
- November 10 and 11: Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade runs at 2:00 pm during regular park hours, likely for TV filming. See our post on the daytime Christmastime parade.
- November 13: Magic Kingdom’s regular-admission holiday season officially begins.
- December 22: The final Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party night.
- January 4: Last day of Jingle Cruise.
If you can choose your dates, mid-to-late November gets you Jingle Cruise, the castle show, and holiday decor before the December rush. If you want everything at once, the weeks after Thanksgiving are packed with holiday entertainment, though crowds build quickly as Christmas gets closer.
Tips for Riding Jingle Cruise
- Ride early or late. Jungle Cruise lines can get long midday, especially during the holidays. Rope drop or the last hour of the day are usually your best bets.
- Ride after dark. The jungle looks completely different at night, and the holiday touches pop even more.
- Ride more than once. Every skipper delivers the jokes a little differently, so a second ride can feel like a new show.
- Check Lightning Lane options. On busy holiday days, it may be worth adding if Jingle Cruise is a must-do.
- Pair it with Adventureland treats. Aloha Isle’s holiday Santa Surf Shack Float is right nearby.

The Bottom Line
2026 Jingle Cruise runs from November 3, 2026, through January 4, 2027, at Magic Kingdom, and the standard Jungle Cruise returns January 5. That gives you just over two months of holiday puns, floating presents, and festive decorations in Adventureland. If your trip falls in that window, plan at least one ride, and try it after dark if you can.
