Cottagecore is out. Hiking boots are in.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse have new national parks-inspired outfits at EPCOT, and you can meet them daily at the Disney Vacation Club ImaginAtrium – A Member Lounge.
Quick Summary
- New national parks-inspired outfits replace the previous cottagecore looks
- Meet-and-greets run daily, 5:30pm–8:30pm
- Located at the DVC ImaginAtrium at EPCOT
- Requires Membership Magic Beyond enrollment — a $99 annual package
- Enrolled members can bring up to 4 guests
- Capacity restrictions may apply
The Outfits
Mickey is dressed for the trail in a teal plaid flannel jacket, cargo pants, hiking boots with red laces, and a wide-brim teal hat. Minnie matches the theme in a colorful southwest-print top, brown skirt, patterned leggings, hiking boots, and an orange belt bag.
The backdrop features a world map and directional signs pointing to Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, and Denali.
The set is dressed to match — field guides, a camping lantern, binoculars, and an Adirondack chair bring the national park atmosphere into the lounge.
The Details Are Doing More Than They Look
Naming four specific parks rather than using generic signage is the choice worth noticing. Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, and Denali span the system’s most recognisable properties across three very different landscapes.
Minnie’s southwest print and Mickey’s plaid flannel are also a considered pairing — desert Southwest and Pacific Northwest, the two visual poles of American park culture.
The Adirondack chair is the deepest cut. It’s the signature furniture of American national park lodges, and putting one in the set does more to establish the theme than any amount of signage.
It also lands at a moment when Disney is leaning heavily on park aesthetics elsewhere — Piston Peak National Park is being built at Magic Kingdom using National Park Service “Parkitecture,” the same design language.
When and Where
The character experience runs daily from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at the DVC ImaginAtrium at EPCOT.
Times are subject to change, and capacity restrictions may apply.
Three hours a day is a short window, and evening-only means you’re giving up prime park time or fireworks positioning to do it. Plan the visit rather than hoping to drop in.
Who Can Go
Access requires enrollment in Membership Magic Beyond — a $99 annual package available to eligible Disney Vacation Club members through December 31, 2026.
The enrolled member can bring up to 4 guests, or the number of guests on their resort stay reservation, whichever is greater.
That “whichever is greater” clause is genuinely useful for larger families — a party of six on one reservation isn’t capped at four.
What Else Membership Magic Beyond Includes
The character experience is one of several benefits in the 2026 package:
- Specially priced Walt Disney World 5-day weekday theme park tickets — save up to $140 per ticket
- Specially priced 3-day weekday Disneyland Resort tickets with Lightning Lane Multi Pass — save up to $177 per ticket
- 30-day Memory Maker entitlement — up to a $210 value
- Priority access to DVC member lounges
- Use of points to purchase a Disney Sorcerer Pass
- $95 transaction fee waived for Disney Collection bookings
- Bonus One-Time-Use Points match
Does $99 Pay for Itself?
Run the numbers before assuming yes or no, because it depends heavily on how you travel.
The Memory Maker entitlement alone is stated at up to $210 value, which on paper covers the fee twice over. But that’s only true if you’d otherwise have bought Memory Maker — and many DVC members already have PhotoPass through an Annual Pass.
The ticket discounts are the real money, and they’re where the package earns its keep. Save up to $140 per ticket on a 5-day weekday Walt Disney World ticket and a family of four clears the $99 several times over on a single trip.
The catch is “weekday.” Both ticket offers are weekday-restricted, which doesn’t suit every trip pattern.
The character meet is a perk, not a reason. If you’re enrolling for Mickey and Minnie in hiking boots, you’re spending $99 for a three-hour daily window at one lounge. Enroll for the tickets; treat the characters as a bonus.
Where the ImaginAtrium Sits
The DVC ImaginAtrium is inside EPCOT’s Imagination pavilion — the same building now confirmed for a refurbishment that brings Dreamfinder back alongside Figment for the first time since 1998.
Disney hasn’t said how the pavilion’s redevelopment affects the member lounge, and it’s a fair question. The ImaginAtrium occupies space in a building about to undergo significant work.
Worth watching as Disney releases more detail on the pavilion project.
The Bottom Line
Mickey and Minnie have swapped cottagecore for national parks gear at EPCOT’s DVC ImaginAtrium — teal plaid flannel and cargo pants for Mickey, southwest print and a belt bag for Minnie, against a backdrop signposting Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, and Denali.
Meets run daily 5:30pm to 8:30pm and require Membership Magic Beyond, a $99 annual package for eligible DVC members through December 31, 2026.
Enrolled members can bring up to four guests, or their full resort party — whichever is greater.
