What Is ‘Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True’?

This is the first full-scale collaboration between Hallmark Channel and Disney, with the entire film shot on location at Walt Disney World. Production wrapped in late February 2026, making it one of the more ambitious Hallmark holiday productions in recent years. The trailer describes it as “a Disney Love Story” and positions the film as a full Walt Disney World experience for viewers who can’t make it to the parks this holiday season.

Lacey Chabert — a Hallmark holiday fixture at this point — stars as Lindsey, a woman who brings her extended family to Walt Disney World for the holidays. Things get complicated fast when she discovers she’s staying next door to Philip, played by Travis Van Winkle. The two had a disastrous first date, and now their families keep crossing paths around the resort. What starts as awkward tension slowly softens, and a wish made at the Cinderella Fountain hints the story might have a different ending than their beginning suggested.

The Full Cast

Alongside Chabert and Van Winkle, the film features a solid supporting cast. Richard Kind and Christy Carlson Romano — yes, that Christy Carlson Romano, formerly of Even Stevens and Kim Possible — both appear in the film. Bryce Durfee, Taegen Burns, and Asher Alexander round out the main cast, and Patrick Renna shows up in a cameo. The script was written by Ryan Landels, who also directs.

The Christy Carlson Romano casting is a fun detail for Disney fans. She’s been part of the Disney Channel universe for decades, so having her in a film shot at Walt Disney World has a certain full-circle quality to it.

When and Where to Watch

Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True premieres during Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas. The exact premiere date hasn’t been announced yet, but Countdown to Christmas typically begins in October and runs through Christmas Day. The film will be available the next day on Hallmark+, so even if you miss the premiere broadcast, you’ll be able to stream it shortly after.

If you want to watch a Disney World Christmas movie from your couch while planning your next trip, this is going to be your move this holiday season.

The Merchandise Line

Beyond the film itself, Hallmark has planned a merchandise line tied to the movie for the 2026 holiday season. The line will include greeting cards, ornaments, gifts, and wrapping items — all themed to the movie. These will be sold at Hallmark Gold Crown stores, on Hallmark.com, and at additional retailers to be confirmed.

If you’re a Disney ornament collector, holiday-themed ornaments from a Hallmark film shot at Walt Disney World could be a fun addition to the tree this year. We’ll keep an eye on when those items go on sale.

Why This Is a Big Deal for Disney Parks Fans

Think about it from a parks fan perspective: this is a full Hallmark holiday movie shot at Magic Kingdom, the resorts, and around Walt Disney World property. Every scene is a location fans will recognize — Cinderella Castle, the Cinderella Fountain, the holiday decorations that transform the park each year. For anyone who has visited Walt Disney World at Christmas, this film is going to hit differently than a standard Hallmark movie.

It’s also a significant moment for Disney’s relationship with outside media partners. Allowing a Hallmark production to film on-location at Walt Disney World during the peak holiday season — with full access to the park — shows Disney is open to these kinds of collaborations. If it performs well, we could see more of these projects in the future.

Mark your calendar for this one. A Disney World Christmas movie from Hallmark, starring Lacey Chabert, filmed on-site — it’s a crossover that took a while to happen, but it was worth the wait.
