Planning a Fourth of July trip to Walt Disney World this year? Good news: the fireworks showtimes for 2026 are officially posted, and there is something notably different about this year’s schedule. For the first time, both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT are hosting their Independence Day fireworks across three nights — July 3, 4, and 5. Here is the full schedule and what you need to know.

Quick Summary

  • Fireworks showtimes for July 3, 4, and 5 are now posted for both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT
  • Disney’s Celebrate America! — A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky runs July 3, 4, and 5 at 9pm at Magic Kingdom
  • The Heartbeat of Freedom runs July 3, 4, and 5 at 9:15pm at EPCOT
  • This is the first time both parks are hosting Independence Day fireworks across three nights
  • Magic Kingdom is currently scheduled to close at 10pm on July 4, with hours expected to extend closer to the date
  • The July 4 show is part of Disney Celebrates America, a 24-hour broadcast airing across Disney+, Hulu, ABC, ESPN, and more

The Full Fireworks Schedule for July 2026

Here is exactly what Disney has posted for the Independence Day fireworks shows this year:

  • Magic Kingdom — Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky: July 3, 4, and 5 at 9:00pm
  • EPCOT — The Heartbeat of Freedom: July 3, 4, and 5 at 9:15pm

Historically, Magic Kingdom has offered its Independence Day show on two nights and EPCOT on just one. Expanding to three nights at both parks is a meaningful change — it spreads the crowd across more evenings and gives more guests a chance to see the shows without dealing with the absolute peak crowds of July 4 itself.

Current Park Hours for July 4, 2026

Park hours for July 4 are already posted, though they will almost certainly be extended as the date approaches. Here is where things stand right now:

  • Magic Kingdom: 9am to 10pm (Early Entry from 8:30am)
  • EPCOT: 9am to 9pm (Early Entry from 8:30am)
  • Hollywood Studios: 9am to 9pm (Early Entry from 8:30am)
  • Animal Kingdom: 8am to 6pm (Early Entry from 7:30am)
  • Blizzard Beach: 10am to 8pm
  • Typhoon Lagoon: 10am to 8pm

Magic Kingdom’s 10pm closing time on July 4 will not stay that early — fireworks at 9pm plus crowd dispersal means the park typically stays open until midnight or later on Independence Day. Check back closer to your visit for updated hours.

The Connection to America’s 250th Anniversary

This year’s celebration is bigger than just the fireworks. The shows are part of Disney Celebrates America, a company-wide initiative marking the United States’ 250th anniversary. On July 4, the fireworks at Magic Kingdom and Disneyland Park will serve as the finale of a 24-hour, multi-platform broadcast airing across Disney+, Hulu, ABC, ESPN, Freeform, FX, and National Geographic.

ABC’s David Muir leads the broadcast, alongside ABC News anchors, ESPN commentators, and National Geographic Explorers. Disney has not confirmed whether the fireworks segments will air live or pre-recorded. Either way, the July 4 show at Magic Kingdom will have a much larger platform this year than in previous years.

Tips for Seeing the Fireworks

If you are planning to see the fireworks at Magic Kingdom, get there early. The July 4 weekend is one of the busiest periods of the year, and the park will hit capacity. Your best strategy is to arrive well before the fireworks, claim a good viewing spot on Main Street USA or in front of Cinderella Castle at least 45 to 60 minutes before showtime, and resist the urge to leave immediately after — let the initial rush clear before heading for the exit.

EPCOT’s 9:15pm showtime at World Showcase Lagoon offers a slightly later start, which gives you a bit more flexibility. The World Showcase promenade offers great sightlines almost anywhere around the lagoon. If you have Park Hopper tickets, you could potentially catch part of Magic Kingdom’s 9pm show and then hop to EPCOT for the 9:15 Heartbeat of Freedom — though timing would be tight.

With three nights of shows at both parks this year, July 3 and July 5 are worth considering as alternatives to July 4 itself. You will get the same fireworks experience with noticeably smaller crowds. Stay tuned to DisMornings as more details about the 2026 Fourth of July celebration at Disney World are confirmed.
