Disney World’s Free Water Park Benefit Returns Summer 2027 — With One Big Change

Disney World's Free Water Park Benefit Returns

Walt Disney World just confirmed that the free water park benefit for resort guests is coming back for summer 2027 — and if you’re planning a trip, this is news worth reading carefully. The perk returns, but there’s a significant change that will affect one specific group of guests.

The Free Water Park Benefit Is Back for Summer 2027

Disney has officially confirmed the free water park admission benefit will return next summer for guests staying at Disney Resorts Collection hotels. The deal works the same way it has in previous years: on your check-in day, you get complimentary access to one of Disney World’s water parks — Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach — as part of your resort stay.

This is a perk that Disney fans genuinely love, so the return for 2027 is great news. But before you start planning, there’s a key update you need to know about.

The Big Change: Fort Wilderness Campsites Are Out

Starting in 2027, guests staying at the Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort will no longer be eligible for the free water park benefit. This is a notable shift — campsite guests currently qualify for the 2026 benefit, but Disney has drawn a line for next year.

If you’ve been booking your Fort Wilderness campsite stays specifically to take advantage of this perk, this summer may be your last chance to use it. The 2026 benefit runs from May 26 through September 8, so there’s still time to plan a trip before the change takes effect.

Who Still Qualifies for the Free Water Park Benefit in 2027

Guests staying at Disney Resorts Collection hotels remain fully eligible. That covers a wide range of options across the resort:

  • Value Resorts
  • Moderate Resorts
  • Deluxe Resorts
  • Deluxe Villa Resorts
  • The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

One clarification worth noting: The Cabins at Fort Wilderness are a separate category from the Campsites, and based on Disney’s announcement, Cabin guests appear to still qualify. So if you love the Fort Wilderness setting but want to keep the water park benefit, consider booking a cabin rather than a campsite.

2027 Dates Haven’t Been Announced Yet

Disney hasn’t released the specific dates for the 2027 water park benefit window just yet. The official word is to “stay tuned for more information and dates.” Based on recent years, expect something close to a late May through early September run — similar to the 2026 window of May 26–September 8.

We’ll update this post as soon as Disney drops the official 2027 schedule, so bookmark this page or follow DisMornings for the latest.

Don’t Miss the 2026 Benefit If You’re Camping

If free water park access is important to your Disney vacation and you love staying at the Fort Wilderness Campsites, this summer is your window. The 2026 benefit is still available for campsite guests through September 8. If you’ve been on the fence about booking, this might be the motivation to pull the trigger on that summer trip.

For everyone else staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, the free water park perk is alive and well heading into 2027 — and that’s something worth celebrating.
