Refreshment Port Is Becoming La Poutinerie

One of EPCOT’s longtime quick-service spots is getting a complete identity change. La Poutinerie EPCOT Air Canada is officially coming — the beloved Refreshment Port location near the Canada Pavilion is being reimagined as La Poutinerie, a Canadian-themed dining spot hosted by Air Canada. Concept art has been released, the partnership is confirmed, and the transformation is underway.

Here’s everything we know about the new La Poutinerie and what it means for guests visiting EPCOT’s World Showcase.

  • The location sits adjacent to the Canada Pavilion in World Showcase

What Was Refreshment Port?

Refreshment Port has been a fixture at EPCOT for years, sitting near the entrance to the Canada Pavilion at the top of World Showcase. It was known primarily for its chicken nuggets — a cult favorite among EPCOT regulars who swore by them — along with its Croissant Doughnut (the “cro-nut”), frozen beverages, and other snack-style offerings.

The location closed on January 12, 2026, with Disney and Air Canada keeping plans quiet for a few months before officially announcing the La Poutinerie transformation.

What Is La Poutinerie?

La Poutinerie is being described as a Canadian-themed quick-service location that brings “a taste of Canada at EPCOT.” The concept is built around poutine — the iconic Canadian dish of fries topped with cheese curds and gravy — along with what Disney has hinted will be a “Canadian classic with a twist.”

The Air Canada partnership gives the location a corporate sponsor identity similar to other pavilion-adjacent dining spots at EPCOT, and it more explicitly connects the location to the Canada Pavilion just steps away. This feels like an intentional move to strengthen the Canada Pavilion’s food and beverage presence in World Showcase — poutine is exactly the kind of approachable, crowd-pleasing food that works perfectly in a festival-style theme park environment.

What Will It Look Like?

Air Canada released concept art showing what the reimagined La Poutinerie will look like, and it’s a significant visual departure from the old Refreshment Port exterior. The new design features a centerpiece display with Canada geese in flight and maple trees dressed in fall foliage, new landscaping with flowers and rocks, and updated signage throughout.

The overall aesthetic leans into a distinctly Canadian nature-inspired identity — which fits beautifully with the World Showcase setting. The fall foliage and geese motif gives the location a warm, seasonal character that should blend seamlessly with the Canada Pavilion’s own design sensibility.

When Does La Poutinerie Open?

Disney has not announced an official opening date for La Poutinerie. The location has been closed since January 2026, and while the concept art and branding have been revealed, there’s been no timeline shared for when guests can expect to walk up and order their first bowl of poutine at EPCOT.

Given the extent of the exterior redesign shown in the concept art, it’s likely the renovation will take several more months. Keep checking DisMornings for updates as Disney and Air Canada share more information about La Poutinerie’s opening timeline and full menu.

One thing is certain: EPCOT’s World Showcase is about to have a brand new Canadian dining option, and poutine at a Disney park is exactly the kind of thing we’re here for.
