Category 10 Is Coming to Universal Orlando

Universal Orlando CityWalk just landed one of the biggest entertainment names in country music. Luke Combs is bringing his Category 10 entertainment brand to Universal Orlando, with a massive new venue set to open in CityWalk in late 2027. The project is a partnership between Combs and Opry Entertainment Group, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most significant additions to CityWalk in years.

Here’s everything announced so far about Category 10 at Universal Orlando CityWalk.

Category 10 at Universal Orlando: Quick Facts

  • Luke Combs and Opry Entertainment Group are partnering to bring Category 10 to Universal Orlando
  • Location: Universal CityWalk Orlando
  • Opening: Late 2027
  • Size: Approximately 33,000 square feet, three stories
  • Features: Live music, food, and spaces inspired by Combs’ music and personal passions
  • Groundbreaking scheduled for summer 2026
  • This will be the third Category 10 venue, following Nashville (2024) and Las Vegas (fall 2026)

What Is Category 10?

Category 10 is Luke Combs’ entertainment venue brand, named after his multi-platinum No. 1 hit “Hurricane” — a nod to the classification of hurricane intensity. The concept brings together live music, food, and an immersive atmosphere built around Combs’ music and personal brand.

The flagship location in Nashville opened in 2024 and quickly became a destination in its own right. A Las Vegas location is set to open in fall 2026. The Orlando venue will be the third, and at approximately 33,000 square feet across three stories, it sounds like it’ll be one of the larger ones in the portfolio.

What Combs Said About the Orlando Venue

Combs expressed genuine excitement about bringing Category 10 to Florida, sharing in a statement: “I have a line in my song ‘1, 2 Many,’ ‘there’s no stopping me once I get goin.’ Well, I guess you can say the same about Cat 10 now. I know Orlando is a worldwide destination spot, so I’m super pumped and humbled that we’re getting to open a location there. My wife is from Florida, so we’re both super excited about this. I am glad to be bringing our brand of first-class service and awesome tunes to the Sunshine State.”

That’s not just promotional talk — a personal connection to Florida likely means Combs will have a hands-on interest in making sure the Orlando location does the brand justice.

What to Expect Inside Category 10 Orlando

The Orlando venue will feature live music, a full food and drink program, and spaces designed around Combs’ music and personal passions. The three-story, 33,000-square-foot footprint gives the team a lot to work with — expect multiple dining and entertainment areas across the levels.

Additional details about the specific concept, menu, and entertainment programming are expected to be released in the coming months as groundbreaking approaches in summer 2026.

What This Means for Universal CityWalk Orlando

CityWalk has been on an interesting trajectory as Universal Orlando expands. With Epic Universe drawing massive new crowds to the resort starting in 2025, the entertainment district has a bigger audience than ever. Adding a venue of Category 10’s scale and profile fits squarely into that growth.

A 33,000-square-foot live music venue with a nationally recognized name attached to it is the kind of addition that gives guests a reason to stay at CityWalk well into the evening — which is exactly what Universal wants. If Nashville’s Category 10 is any indication, this should be a genuine destination anchor for the district.

Category 10 Orlando Opens Late 2027 — Plan Accordingly

The Luke Combs Category 10 venue at Universal CityWalk Orlando won’t be ready until late 2027, so if you’re planning a trip in the near term, it won’t be part of your visit yet. Groundbreaking is slated for summer 2026, and the development timeline should give Universal and Opry Entertainment Group time to build out a first-class venue.

This is the kind of long-lead announcement that’s worth bookmarking if you’re a Luke Combs fan or just someone who loves a great live music dining experience. Stay connected to DisMornings — we’ll have all the updates as Category 10 Orlando moves from groundbreaking to grand opening.
