My Thoughts

Updating the interiors of the Saratoga Springs Treehouse Villas is long overdue. The resort’s main buildings got their full refresh back in 2021, and while the Treehouses run on their own schedule, they’ve needed this for a while.

My guess is that these permits are the real beginning of the project DVC originally planned for 2025 but never kicked off. The timeline, contractor, and renovation type all point toward a hard goods update, which would dramatically improve the experience for guests staying in these unique units.

This is speculation, but it also wouldn’t surprise me if Disney brings the Treehouses into the same design language as the refurbished Saratoga Springs rooms. Those updates were clean, modern, and well-received.

If work truly begins soon, Treehouse fans should be excited. These are already some of the most memorable accommodations at Walt Disney World, and refreshed interiors would make them shine even brighter.
