• Real-Time Scoring Monitors: Each vehicle includes an onboard screen that updates your score as you move through scenes. This is a first for the attraction and a major shift in how players track their progress.

• New Show Scene: Disney has confirmed a brand-new show scene, offering more variety and a refreshed sense of pacing in the gameplay sequence. Details remain under wraps, but its inclusion suggests a deeper rewrite of the experience.

Meet Buddy — The New Support Robot

For the first time, guests will meet a new character at the beginning of their adventure: Buddy, a friendly support robot created by Walt Disney Imagineering and Pixar Animation Studios.

Buddy welcomes guests into the mission with:

Spring 2026 feels like the right time for this attraction to return. After the winter holidays, spring break becomes one of the highest-demand travel periods for Walt Disney World. Disney knows this season drives strong attendance and often schedules major reopenings or debuts to support capacity.

By bringing Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin back at this time, Disney accomplishes two important goals:

• Adds capacity during a heavy travel window
  A refreshed ride absorbs guests and reduces pressure on other popular attractions.
• Creates a “must-visit” incentive for spring trips
